There's perhaps no song more closely linked to the High Holy Days than Avinu Malkeinu. On Rosh Hashanah, we come before God as subjects, but in this prayer, we are reminded that we are also God's children. This year, it was sung by Melissa Goldberg, along with our volunteer choir, and John Burke on piano.

Last night we came together for Shabbat evening services with three special moments woven together. We welcomed the final Shabbat of the Jewish year, we marked Selichot, the traditional service of forgiveness and reflection that opens our hearts as we prepare for the Days of Awe, and we installed our new Board of Directors for the year ahead.

There's something powerful about preparing to welcome a New Year at the same time that we install our Board. As we ready ourselves spiritually for the new year, we also renew our communal commitment to the leadership that carries our congregation forward. Mazal tov and thank you to our incoming board for stepping up to serve our kehillah kedosha, our holy community.

Our youth groups started the year strong this past Sunday! RAFTY and JYG joined together for an afternoon at Top Golf. And Klub345 had the crowd pleaser event, Cupcake Wars!! Looking forward to lots more fun with these groups this year. It’s not too late to register!

We had a great first day at Mitzner Family Religious School and our Annual Picnic!!! Lots of fun was had with the slide and water activities, plus a delicious lunch and yummy ice cream treats. Thank you to everyone who helped make it a success!
