If you're fighting an addiction right now, this post is for you. ❤️

God has given us people who can pray with us, encourage us, hold us accountable, and remind us of who we are in Christ. James 5:16 points us toward the power of bringing our struggles into trusted community and praying for one another so that healing can take place.

At Overcame Church, we believe in embracing people with the love, grace, and truth of Jesus Christ while creating space for genuine connection and transformation. There is hope. There is healing. There is a community ready to walk with you. 🙏

We’ve probably all hurt somebody we love. But what happens when the same hurt keeps happening?

Family, sin doesn’t only affect your relationship with God. It can damage the trust between you and the people closest to you. Proverbs says repeating an offense can even separate close friends!

So when someone says, “That hurt me,” don’t rush to defend yourself. Instead, pay attention. Repentance may be the very thing that keeps an offense from becoming a pattern. 🙏

There is freedom in knowing that your life is held by a Father who sees you, knows you, and cares deeply for you! 🙌

Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6 to live with confidence in our Father’s care. He knows what we need, and His faithfulness gives us a firm place to rest our hearts and focus our minds. We can move through each day trusting that His presence is with us and His grace is sufficient for everything ahead.

Today, choose to rest in what Jesus has accomplished, refocus your heart on His promises, and walk confidently in the peace He has given you. This is what it looks like to live life freely in Jesus Christ! ❤️

What you keep listening to will eventually show up in how you live. So what are you feeding your mind every day? God’s Word may get your attention on Sunday, but what has your attention the rest of the week?

What you watch, what you listen to, and the voices you keep around you can shape your thinking. And when God’s Word says one thing while you’re constantly feeding on something else, don’t be surprised when you find yourself going back and forth.

We behave according to what we believe, and faith comes by hearing. So, what have you been hearing the most lately? 🙏

If you're struggling to forgive someone right now, then this post is for you. What could change if you chose grace instead of holding onto the hurt?

You may not feel differently overnight, but every step of obedience creates more room for peace, healing, and freedom. Because of what Christ has already done, you can move forward without being defined by what happened behind you.

Choose grace, trust Jesus with the process, and keep living life freely in Him. ❤️

Sometimes the person you’re blaming isn’t the real battle. It’s not your auntie, your coworker, your supervisor, or even your child. Family, we have to pay attention to what’s happening in our minds!

When your thinking keeps shifting, your decisions will, too. One day you trust God; the next day fear is running the conversation. James warns us that a double-minded person becomes unstable in all their ways.

So before you fight everybody around you, check the battle happening within you. What thoughts have been making it difficult for you to stay settled on what God has said? 🙏
