For the first time, we’re excited to introduce beautiful new Torah covers—the final element of our recent L’Dor V’Dor Torah project. But the story doesn’t begin with the covers. It actually begins with our magnificent ark.

In this new video, Rabbi Pokras takes us behind the scenes to explore the inspiration, symbolism, and deeper meaning of the ark’s design. He then introduces our new Torah covers and shares the meaning behind each of their designs. Our new covers will be used for the first time beginning this High Holy Day season, and the meaningful words featured on them will provide a framework for our services. Each service will explore a different theme connected to one of these Jewish values, inviting us to reflect on their meaning in our own lives and in our sacred community.

As the High Holy Days approach, join us for S’lichot, a beautiful tradition of reflection, prayer, and spiritual preparation. Together, we’ll slow down, open our hearts, and begin the journey toward forgiveness, renewal, and return. Join us on Saturday, September 5, with sweet treats and schmoozing at 8:00 PM, followed by the S’lichot service at 8:30 PM. The entire TBA clergy team will be with us for this meaningful evening as we prepare our hearts and spirits for the High Holy Days.

Want to make a meaningful difference at TBA? Join TBA TV!

Behind every worship service at Temple Beth Ami is a dedicated team of TBA TV volunteers helping make sure everyone can hear, see, and participate, whether they’re in the sanctuary or joining us from home.

No experience is needed! Our experienced volunteers will train you and work alongside you until you’re comfortable. You simply need to be willing to learn, follow directions, stay calm when the unexpected happens, and help our community connect through worship.

There’s also no minimum commitment. Volunteers help as often or as occasionally as their schedules allow, with one volunteer coordinating the schedule based on everyone’s availability.

And TBA TV is about much more than pushing buttons. It’s a meaningful way to get to know our clergy, connect with our community, and make worship accessible to the many people who rely on our livestream.

Earlier this month, Machane TBA parents joined Rabbi Baht Weiss and Cantor Inbal Sharett-Singer for Raise the Bar, an opportunity to connect, enjoy good conversation, and get to know one another better.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to bring our Machane TBA community together and strengthen the connections that make our community special. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

Coffee, conversation, and community! Cantor Sharett-Singer recently joined members of our TBA community for Coffee with the Clergy at Bagel Towne Deli. It was a wonderful morning of getting to know one another, sharing questions and ideas, and connecting beyond the walls of the Temple.
