Come join us for a new year's "barn-raising"! Spencer Lane will be spearheading the build and the Men's Club will also be assisting. There will be music and snacks for everyone to enjoy. Please bring an extra step-stool if you're planning on helping with the sukkah. Work gloves are also recommended for builders.

Tikvat Israel has been awarded a $100,000 grant from the Maryland Governor's Office of Crime Prevention and Policy through the Protecting Against Hate Crimes (PAHC) Grant Program.

These funds will support our security staff, and help make improvements to our social hall, real investments in keeping our congregation safe every time we gather.

Thank you to Governor Wes Moore and the Maryland General Assembly for prioritizing the safety of houses of worship, and to our Safety & Security Committee and staff for making this application possible. Keeping Tikvat Israel safe and welcoming is a continuous commitment, and we're grateful for partners who share it!

We are thrilled to welcome Cantor Hinda Eisen Labovitz as our new Director of Community Engagement! 🎶

Cantor Labovitz most recently served Ohr Kodesh Congregation, where she served as cantor and religious school principal for over a decade. A talented contralto, accomplished educator, and respected leader in the cantorate, she will lead the expansion of our religious school Netivot (now K–5!), help shape an exciting program calendar, and serve as our prayer leader for holidays and special services.
