"I stay close to Jesus by surrounding myself with people who love the Lord and encourage me in my walk with Him. I’m part of a Life Group and a small Bible study with a few friends, and I’m grateful to have people I can study God’s Word with, ask questions, and learn from. Being involved in high school ministry has also been a meaningful part of my own walk with Jesus. Our students inspire me and teach me so much, and they often challenge me to think about my own faith in new ways.
I live sent by Jesus by using the gifts and passions He has given me to serve others. I’ve been serving in high school ministry for the past nine years, and one of my favorite parts is being involved in our high school Life Group. I love helping students dig into the Bible, ask questions, and understand what they’re reading rather than just reading the words on a page. My hope is that they leave youth group with a better understanding of who God is, confidence in their own ability to understand His Word, and a faith they continue to grow in for the rest of their lives. I also love photography and getting to use it to capture moments that people can look back on and remember for years to come."
