Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Holy Trinity Lutheran Church has been part of the community of Lake Telemark in Rockaway Township for over 75 years. Come visit our welcoming community.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) is one of the largest Christian denominations in the United States, with about 4 million members in nearly 10,000 congregations across the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. We are the church that shares a living, daring confidence in God’s grace. For us, as the ELCA, this faith comes through the good news of Jesus Christ and gives us the freedom and the courage to wonder, discover and boldly participate in what God is up to in the world. We are a church that is always being made new, and at the same time, is deeply rooted in Scripture, Lutheran theology and Lutheran confessions. We are also rooted in the vibrant, diverse communities and rich histories of our congregations. It’s through these roots that the Holy Spirit guides and nourishes us so that we can be a church that is both resilient and always new. We welcome you to join this community of faith — the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America — regardless of your age, race, gender, life experience, complexities and questions. You have a unique story that can only add to the richness of the larger story that makes up the ELCA. There is a place for you here! - See more at: http://www.elca.org/en/About .Bh30IIOC.dpuf

Two friends were sitting at a coffee shop. One was a dedicated Christian and the other was inquiring about how to be "saved" by Christ. The dedicated Christian responded by stating that salvation is offered through grace as a gift... it's that easy. Yet, many are still under the impression that, somehow, salvation is earned. Join our Reformation Day celebration this Sunday as Pastor Jack outlines the cornerstone New Testament concept that we are saved by grace through faith... not saved by anything we are required to do! Don't miss this message.
We welcome all to join us for Sunday worship at 11am in person or on YouTube. https://www.rockawaylutheran.org/worship

We have collected 24 bags of winter coats so far. The Sunday School children helped sort them for Market Street Mission to support their coat drive. We also collected 10 bags of sweatshirts and light jackets and a huge bag of hats, gloves, and scarves that were also donated to the mission.
It's not too late to donate new or gently used coats; we will be collecting them until this Sunday, October 25.

Have you ever stopped to marvel at the design and function of your personal computer? Your computer is actually programmed to perform thousands of functions for you every day.... and, by comparison, God has programmed your soul to respond to God's gracious will and divine programming. Is your soul "in tune" with the Holy Spirit's internal programming? Find out more as Pastor Jack reflects upon this in his Sunday message, "Keeping Your Mind in Christ Jesus". Learn about some spiritual disciplines you can utilize to align your thoughts and actions to be in accord with divine intentions for your life!

Did you ever have good intentions... but, for some reason, you never got around to acting on those intentions? Did you ever volunteer to do something, but it never really got done? This Sunday, Pastor Jack will address the occasional disconnect between good intentions and good actions. A long time ago, St. Paul wrote, "I don't understand what I do... for what I want to do I do not do". Check out this Sunday's message, which includes spiritual pointers for addressing the things that never seem to get accomplished in your life!

Pictured here is a mosaic depicting Rev. John Chrysostom, the 4th-century Archbishop of Constantinople. To paraphrase something Chrysostom once said, "God is more willing to forgive than we are to repent". What does that mean for us? This Sunday, Pastor Jack will unpack that statement and its significance for contemporary living. God's love is so great there is always room for repentance... and forgiveness! Don't miss PJ's grace-filled message this Sunday.
