Hey everyone. Here are some pictures from the annual campingfest that we have. Today is the last day to get the journal ads in. So far using the journal ads we raised about $500 which is great.

I'd like to get that even higher. Maybe to $1,500 or $2,000. I'm looking for 10 or more friends, family or organizations to take out journal ads that encourage our youth.

That will help us build the website I believe and start other dads and kids groups in the region. Some of you I’m sure has connections that would want to be a part of this.

By helping in this endeavor you are a founding member at the start of impact for many more dads and kids in our region. Many fatherless children too. Don't slow down or give up. Keep pressing forward to get to the goal, to help us reach the high calling we have as a group under Christ. Thank you everyone who answer the call. I pray that many blessings come back to you because you became a part of something bigger than yourself.

Remember today is the last day to get the ads in. The clock is ticking. Amen!!!

Hey Facebook Family. We're doing our second annual awards celebration for the children in Dads and Kids Hangout, part of Men’s Group of Christ Church on Saturday, November 2nd at Friendly’s. Samantha Cartagena is a young adult that will be the guest speaker to encourage them in their walk in life. Some of the awards include Bible warrior for those that are reading the Bible at this young age, home maintenance and car maintenance awards, studious, savings/investments, volunteer awards and more. All things they need to achieve something good in life.

We’re looking for some Facebook family and businesses to encourage and uplift the kids by acknowledging their successes through being a part of their awards journal. Encouraging entries start at just $50. Entries are due by Tuesday. Let me know if interested. Funds provided go towards the kids going to this and other hangouts a child may need help affording, a website we want to put up to encourage other groups to start Dads and Kids Hangouts in our area and more. Time for a little role playing at Campingfest. Kids got a chance to feel what its like to deal with responsibility with their friends and their family. They were too funny doing their acting, especially acting as the parents.

Since its MLK weekend coming up I wanted to give you the opportunity to come alongside GNEC, a business loan non-profit I assist that helps African American businesses get low interest loans they could not readily get at a normal bank. They also help these same businesses by providing low-cost back office assistance in accounting, marketing and more. The way they keep the cost down is through donations. I believe in what they are doing so much that until the end of the month my business will be matching all gifts up to $500 in total.

This Monday we're celebrating a man, Dr. King, who in the end was supporting trash collectors before he was shot by someone who wanted him to stop helping our people. How much more would he have supported black and brown businesses struggling to make it through if he would have lived on. Learn more at

This is Todd From the Dads and Kids Hangout group. Fathers come out Saturday morning, June 17th for breakfast from 9-12PM, before the Tri-State Fair, and join our Discovering the Happy Family Masterclass.
