Wednesday night is the conclusion of the series, "Becoming a Disciple". The final lesson is the ultimate assignment ... 'Making More Disciple'. Everyone who calls themselves a Christian is assigned by Christ to go and make more disciples. It is our responsibility as a follower and disciple of Christ. If you aren't pursuing new disciples, you cannot call yourself a true disciple of Christ. Join me in this lesson this week, and don't forget to share!

Road to Destiny 10/25/26 - "The Healing Process". When it comes to healing there are a few things we must consider. First of all, Jesus never 'partially' healed anyone, meaning, it doesn't pay to only heal the body, but leave the mind and spirit broken. Whenever Jesus healed someone physically, he generally spoke of the soul during that same process. "Your sins are forgiven." "Go and sin no more." God isn't worried simply about your body because your spirit will live long beyond that. You need a healthy mindset and a sanctified spirit to go along with a healed body. If you want to be truly healed, you must allow God to heal everything.

The one critical factor that Jesus points to time and time again is faith. Faith is the key that opens the door to God's presence and power. Jesus always points to faith or the lack thereof as the source or limitation of God's presence and power. Stretch yourself to believe beyond what you can understand. Sometimes, you'll need to stretch to a posture from which you can only recover when God steps in.

"Becoming a Disciple" - 'What Do We Gain'. Becoming a disciple of Christ involves significant sacrifice. The nature of a disciple is to give up what you have in order to gain more by learning from another. Whatever I thought I had or could do, I can learn to do better through alignment to my teacher. So, what do we have to gain in becoming a disciple of Christ's? Let's discuss it. Join me at 7 PM.

Road to Destiny - "The Realm of Anything" pt. 2. The bible speaks to the church about coming together in agreement as we seek and petition God. Agreement is one of the crucial elements. The bible describes the church as a body. We all realize that for a body to function well, all parts must work together. The lack of any part is a weakness or vulnerability to the whole. In some cases, parts within the body may be in unity, but there can only be One Accord when all parts are focused on the same ultimate goal. God spoke of those building the tower of Babel as being unified. While they all carried different roles, they all agreed as to what the end goal was ... to build a tower. According to God, in being so unified, there was nothing that would be impossible for them to achieve.

In churches, we are often divided. In the entire body of Christ, even more so. Division weakens the effectiveness of the body and our petitions before God. There is a promise of God for 'anything', but to reach it, we must be unified.

'What Does it Cost'. To be a true disciple of Christ WILL cost you something. It differs for different people, but there will always be sacrifices to be made. Jesus implied that the suffering Peter would endure would be different from that of John. It will be different for different people, but we all must be prepared to carry our cross. If you're not experiencing a 'cross' in your walk God, you're probably not a true disciple.

Road to Destiny - "The Realm of Anything" pt. 1. Jesus gave a very specific decree that we could ask anything of the Father and that He would do it for us. That's a very open-ended statement. I do believe there are some things that God just will not do. For example, the bible tells us that He will never lie. It's not in His nature to do so. He's probably not going to recreate the world for us because we asked. So, there has to be some limit based on what He knows to be right, and in our best interest. (He watches out for us.) But that being said, there's still a lot of open space there for many things to happen within His will.

1 John 5 adds to this, "... if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us, and if He hears us, we know we have the petitions we desired of Him." I believe Jesus intended to stir our faith to believe. Every healing miracle that we saw Jesus do served to stimulate faith. It would appear that we miss out on things that we could have had if we just believed. I challenge you to stretch your faith, put your trust in God and see what happens.
