What a wonderful evening at our Parents Group Annual Family BBQ at Kutzky Park! 🌞🍔

From great food to meaningful conversations and new connections, it was a joy to gather together and celebrate community. Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a special event!

Pastor Marla got to promote Beyond the Surface: Seeing Our Neighbors Through Christ's Eyes on Midwest Access today. Its an event about recognizing and valuing the human dignity of ALL our neighbors as we partner together to help each other acquire safe housing in our City. Assisi Heights Spirituality Center is hosting an event for community along with The Landing MN and many faith community partners Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Rochester, MN to learn more about the realities of homelessness and what local support and understanding can look like!

What an amazing week at VBA 2026: Snowball Mountain Challenge! ❄️🏔️

As we wrap up our final day, we are so thankful for all of the children, families, and volunteers who made this week so special. ❤️ From fun activities and games to growing in faith together, we created memories that will last all summer long.

A special thank you to our incredible volunteers for sharing your time, energy, and gifts. We couldn’t have done it without you!

We hope everyone has a safe, fun, and blessed summer, and we look forward to seeing you again soon at Gloria Dei!☀️

Day 3 of Vacation Bible Adventure was filled with faith, fun, and creativity! 🎨

Today, we learned about Jesus praying in the garden and discovered that we can talk to God through prayer too. 🙏 Our adventurers created beautiful diamond suncatchers and watercolor paintings, enjoyed games of Red Light, Green Light and Simon Says, and fueled up with a tasty snack mix (complete with M&Ms! 😋).

We can’t believe tomorrow is our final day of VBA! 🎉 We can’t wait to see what adventures await on our last day!

Day 2 of our VBA Snowball Mountain Challenge is in the books! ❄️

We may have started the morning a little sleepy, but the fun quickly kicked into high gear!

Today, we learned about Esther and the courage she showed, reminding us that God helps us be brave in every situation. Our station rotations were packed with snowy fun! Grades 1-5 created Instant Snow Art masterpieces while our PK-K friends got delightfully messy and creative with shaving cream. We burned off plenty of energy with parachute and “snowball” games. And let’s not forget our “snow dipped” rice crispy treat snack!

We can’t wait to see what adventures Day 3 brings!✨

❄️🏔️ VBA 2026: Snowball Mountain Challenge - Day 1 Recap!

What an incredible first day of VBA! Today, we explored the story of Joseph Interpreting Dreams and learned how God gives each of us unique gifts to share with others.

Our adventurers got creative by making kaleidoscopes (Grades 1-5) and snowflake mosaics (PK-K), stayed active with exciting rounds of Freeze Tag, and enjoyed a tasty “Snow Cream Dip” snack. We also sang, danced, and had a special visit from our VBA mascot, Ollie the Arctic Seal! 🦭🎶

We can’t wait to see what Day 2 brings as we continue our Snowball Mountain Challenge adventure!

🌸 Senior Generational Worship is always a great time to see our senior members reconnect with one another over worship and lunch. We were so glad to see so many familiar faces who have been part of our congregation for years. Thank you for continuing to be such an important part of our church family! 💜
