Today, on Bereaved Father’s Day, we hold in prayer the fathers who carry the profound grief of losing a child. 💙

A father’s love does not end with loss. It lives on in treasured memories, in quiet moments of remembrance, and in the love that remains forever in his heart. For fathers grieving a son or daughter—whether the loss was recent or many years ago—today we honor your love, your strength, and the precious bond you will always share with your child.

May you find comfort in the promise of our faith and in knowing that your beloved child rests in the loving arms of God.

🙏 A Prayer for Bereaved Fathers
Heavenly Father,
Draw near to every father who mourns the loss of a child. Comfort him in moments of sorrow, strengthen him when grief feels heavy, and surround him with Your peace. Hold his beloved child in Your eternal care until the day they are reunited in Your heavenly kingdom. Amen.

Today, and always, we remember these fathers and the children they carry forever in their hearts.

Today, we celebrate the four-legged companions who fill our lives with unconditional love, endless loyalty…and maybe a little extra fur on everything we own.

Dogs have a special way of walking beside us through every season of life—bringing comfort when we’re hurting, joy when we need it most, and reminding us to appreciate the simple blessings of each day.

As we celebrate National Dog Day, we’d love to see the pups who have a special place in your family! Share a photo of your dog in the comments—or, if you’re remembering a beloved companion who has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, share a favorite photo or memory of them. 🌈🐾

After all, some of God’s sweetest blessings come with four paws. ❤️

We warmly invite families and loved ones to our annual Children's Remembrance Service, a beautiful time of prayer and remembrance for children whose lives continue to be cherished and celebrated.

Gather with us on Saturday, in the Children's Section for a moving service featuring prayers, Scripture readings, a time for reflection and sharing, a symbolic butterfly release, and light refreshments. Together, we will honor the enduring bond between families and the children they lovingly remember, while finding comfort in God's presence and the hope of everlasting life.

All are welcome to join us for this meaningful morning of remembrance and healing.

Robert Frost’s “Nothing Gold Can Stay” is a beautiful reminder of how quickly the seasons of this life pass.

The first green of spring, the glow of dawn, the people and moments we hold dear—so much of what is precious to us can seem to pass all too quickly.

Yet our faith reminds us that even as the things of this world fade, God’s love remains. Death does not have the final word.

As we watch summer slowly begin to give way to another season, may we treasure the beauty God places before us, cherish the people He has given us to love, and remember with tenderness those who have gone before us.

"The world and its enticement are passing away. But whoever does the will of God remains forever."

— 1 John 2:17

May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

🌹 The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary 🌹

Today, we celebrate the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, when Mary was taken body and soul into the glory of Heaven.

For those of us who have entrusted loved ones to God’s care, this beautiful feast offers a special reminder: death does not have the final word. Through Christ, we live in the hope of the resurrection and the promise of eternal life.

As we honor our Blessed Mother, may we ask for her prayers for all those who have gone before us.

🙏 Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

May Our Lady of the Assumption bring comfort to those who mourn and lead all of us closer to her Son.

Our Lady of the Assumption, pray for us.

✝️ Religious figures of the Church: St. Clare of Assisi ✝️

Born in Assisi, Italy, in 1194, Clare grew up in a wealthy and prominent family. As a young woman, however, she was deeply moved by the preaching and example of St. Francis of Assisi. At the age of 18, Clare quietly left behind the comfortable life that had been planned for her and dedicated herself to a life of prayer, poverty, and service to Christ.

Other women soon joined her, including members of her own family. Together, they formed a religious community at San Damiano outside Assisi. Clare became its spiritual mother and leader, and the community eventually became known as the Poor Clares.

For more than 40 years, St. Clare lived a humble life centered on prayer, devotion, and care for her sisters. She embraced poverty and simplicity and possessed remarkable strength, remaining steadfast in protecting the way of life to which she and her sisters had been called, and trusting completely in God's providence.

St. Clare died on August 11, 1253, and was canonized just two years later by Pope Alexander IV.

Her story still speaks beautifully to us today—especially in places where we remember those who have gone before us in faith. Cemeteries remind us that worldly possessions are temporary, while the love we give, the faith we nurture, and the lives we touch can leave a legacy far beyond our earthly years.

May St. Clare inspire us to live more simply, love more generously, and place our trust more fully in God. 🙏

St. Clare of Assisi, pray for us.
