Hilonkis used to fill the emptiness she felt with partying, drinking, and relationships that weren’t good for her. Although she grew up in the church, she walked away and felt completely alone.

One night, at her lowest, she cried out to God that she couldn’t do it anymore. Then a friend sent her a video of a man speaking about God and she felt like he was speaking directly to her. She made the decision to trust Christ that day.

Her life still isn’t perfect but she has this peace that God’s got her now. She doesn’t feel empty or alone, and she doesn’t feel the need to run to anything else. He is enough.

Congrats, Hilonkis!

HOOTENANNY 2026! 🤠🐴🔥🎃

190+ students
87 serve team members
350 donuts devoured
100+ pumpkins painted
2 hours of hayrides
400 pounds of corn searched through
24 sheets of pizza enjoyed
1 life changing Gospel taught

On Friday our students gathered at Webster for a whole bunch of hoot-n-hollerin. They played fall games, painted pumpkins, had c***r & donuts, and some good ol’ fashion, toe-tappin line dancing.

We even welcomed back our very own Conell Christiansen to deliver a message about the woman at the well.

Does anyone still know what a hootenanny is?

One of the most important things that our words have the ability to do is share the Gospel

We have the ability to share our testimony with people and tell them what Jesus has done in our lives

Jesus tells us to go and make disciples

If there’s one thing we absolutely should be doing with our mouths, it’s telling people about Jesus

Alyssa grew up loving church. She read her Bible and listened to worship music. But as a teenager, she felt that light start to dim.

She struggled with depression and anxiety, and she kept trying to fill a space in her heart that was only meant for Jesus.

Then in college, she went through a deeply traumatic experience, and everything went dark. Searching for anything steady, she reached for Jesus. He carried her through a season of healing, forgiveness, and finding hope again.

Alyssa will keep running to Jesus first and she wants everyone to find the same hope and joy she has.

It’s one of the other – no in between

The way we can avoid speaking death is by creating a discipline of speaking life. Make it a rhythm to give encouraging words

Our God is a God of miracles

Nico grew up knowing Jesus but walked away in college, chasing everything the world had to offer. Then in August 2025, doctors found an egg-sized mass near his heart and they were all sure it was cancer.

One night, driving down the road, it all spilled over. He poured out his anger and pain to God and told Him he was done writing his own story and fully surrendered his life to Jesus. For the first time in a long time, he slept in peace.

As surgery was approaching, he had no fear and knew the Lord had him. After surgery, doctors found no cancer or mass and couldn’t explain it.

Nico knew that whether he was healed or not, he was still committed to Him.
