Please pray for the Holy Father. He has been diagnosed with lung cancer.

Oh Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for Pope Leo XIV. Intercede for him and his healing with your son, our Lord Jesus Christ who lives with you and the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever. Amen.

Tests confirmed a diagnosis of lung cancer for Pope Leo XIV, the Vatican said in a medical update after he underwent surgery.

October Share Sunday
Our Share Sunday for October will benefit the Bethany House. It provides temporary housing, assistance and support to women and children in crisis in Rochester NY that are afflicted with homelessness and instability from domestic violence, incarceration, addiction, mental health, physical illness or poverty.
Bethany House also has “front door services” providing meals, clothing, blankets and hygiene items to the homeless street population. They have a food pantry which distributes food on Tuesday and Thursday as well.
Bethany house is staffed and operated by Catholic Worker Volunteers that operate solely on donations.

As always, the Human Development Committee of St. Lawrence thank you for your generosity as we share a little of what we have. Please have your donations to church by Oct. 18th at 11:00 a.m.
