Today is the feast of Mother Teresa, who is now St. Teresa of Calcutta. She founded the Missionaries of Charity, and helped the "unseen" to become seen.
St. Teresa was 36 years old and had already been a religious for 18 years before Jesus appeared to her and she experienced her "call within a call."
She was inspired by the stories of the missionaries when she was just a little girl in North Macedonia. Pouring over their stories, she knew by age 12 that she wanted to follow in their footsteps. It was their stories that inspired the little girl that became Mother Teresa.
