The rainstick is back!

One of the comments I have heard as I’ve promoted the Digital Age Discipleship Seminar (starting this Sunday October 4 at 9 AM. Just show up even if you haven’t signed up 😁) is this: “Well, I don’t really use any of that kind of technology. Do I still need to go?” My cheeky response would go something like this: Do you have a smart phone? Have you ever been on social media? Have you done a Google search in the last two years? If you answered yes to any or all of those questions, congratulations! AI and the social internet have influenced your world in more ways than you think.

The purpose of this seminar is not to teach us how to use these technologies, it’s not about teaching us to be fearful or scared about these new technologies. We are to be wise about it. We are to be discerning about it. The spirit of the Digital Age looks less and less human, join us this Sunday as we talk about our response to that spirit is to learn from Jesus on how to be human.

Our next seminar starts this Sunday! This is not a seminar about utilizing AI and the social internet for deeper discipleship, it's a seminar on how to be human in a world that is looking less and less human. Even if you're a person that "doesn't use that stuff", you're going to want to be in the room for this one.

How do we enter in through the narrow gate?
How do we live on the path that leads to life?
How do we avoid the highway that leads to destruction?

Why do people come to a church for the 1st time? Because they are invited by someone they know and trust. Starting Sept 6th we’re launching our fall message series entitled: Invite. During the series we’ll explore how simple it is to help a friend or family member discover their best life. If you have not already done so, please invite someone to join you at Church on the Water and then to join you the next week and see what SFC looks like when we’re not enjoying the great outdoors. It all begins with the INVITE.

What do we do when we feel stuck? What do we do when we feel like we don't know the next step?

We do the next right thing by following the Golden Rule.
