🔥 CULTURE SHOCK: WHAT IF WE STOPPED JUST KNOWING THE WORD…AND STARTED LIVING IT?

We all know John 3:16. It’s the GOAT of memorized Scripture. 😂

But Jesus didn’t call us to be people who can quote the Word. He called us to be people who live it.

Here are 3 things to take with you this week:

1️⃣ KNOW THE WORD — BUT DON’T STOP THERE.
“Your word I have hidden in my heart…” — Psalm 119:11

The Bible isn’t a trophy for how many verses we can memorize. God’s Word is meant to shape our decisions, our relationships, our priorities, and our everyday lives.

📖 Bible owners ≠ Bible appliers.

2️⃣ DO THE WORD.
James 1:22 says, “Don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says.”

A real culture shock happens when what we believe on Sunday starts showing up on Monday.

At work.
At home.
In our relationships.
In our conversations.
In how we treat people who disagree with us.
In how we love the broken, the lost, and the overlooked.

Jesus said His nourishment came from doing the will of the Father.

What if our faith became less about what we say we believe and more about what our lives actually demonstrate?

3️⃣ BE BORN AGAIN — AND KEEP GROWING. 🌱

Jesus told Nicodemus, “Unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”

The Christian life isn’t about becoming a slightly better version of yourself.

It’s becoming a new creation in Christ.

New life.
New priorities.
New purpose.
New nourishment.

And when the Word becomes your nourishment, everything changes.

You become salt. 🧂
You become light. 💡
You point people toward Jesus—not just with what you post, but with how you live.

🔥 Culture shock happens when the church stops simply talking about the Word and starts actively applying it.

✨ Culture Shock Week 2 | Be the Salt. Be the Light. ✨

This week's message from Matthew 5 reminded us that Jesus has called every believer to make a difference in the world around them.

🧂 1. Be the Salt.
Salt preserves, heals, enhances, and brings out what is good. Our lives should point people to Jesus by reflecting His love, preserving truth, and bringing hope wherever we go.

💡 2. Be the Light.
Light isn't meant to be hidden. When we live for Christ, His love shines through us, revealing truth, bringing hope, and leading others to glorify our Heavenly Father.

❤️ 3. Live the Culture of Jesus.
a culture of revival begins when Jesus becomes our culture. Read His Word, pray daily, serve faithfully, love people well, and boldly invite others to experience the life only Christ can give.

"You are the salt of the earth... You are the light of the world." — Matthew 5:13–16

Let's strive to know God, work together, and love everyone in everything we do. When Jesus becomes our culture, everything changes. 🙌
