Kick Off the School Year with Us!

Looking for a church where your family can grow in faith, make friends, and have fun? Join us on Sunday, August 30 for one of our favorite traditions—the Blessing of the Backpacks!

During our 10:00 AM worship service, children and students of all ages are invited to bring their backpacks as we celebrate the start of a new school year with a special blessing. As part of the service, our Sunday School students will cross the bridge, symbolizing the exciting journey ahead as they begin a new year of learning, friendship, and faith.

After worship, the fun continues at our Back-to-School Bash! Everyone is invited to enjoy a bounce house, games, delicious food, and activities for the whole family. It's the perfect opportunity to meet other families, explore our church, and see what makes our community so special.

🎶 You're Invited to a Free Harp Concert! 🎶

Experience the beautiful sounds of the 2026 Elyrica Summer Harp Ensemble Program at a special Gala Harp Ensemble Concert on Friday, July 24, from 2:00–3:15 PM in Lund Hall at First Congregational Church of Ridgefield, located at 103 Main Street.

Enjoy an afternoon of music featuring ensembles of 3 to 17 harps, with performances by talented students of all ages alongside professional harpists. The concert is the grand finale of the summer program, founded and directed by acclaimed harpist Wendy Kerner, who will also conduct and perform.

Part of their 60th annual summer tour, this talented ensemble of 18 teenage musicians will perform on more than 150 handbells and handchimes in an unforgettable evening of music.
