Sunday, June 7—Guest Preacher and Celebrating our Graduates! Bishop Cottrell will be at St. Stephen’s on June 7. Bishop Cottrell is the current 98th Archbishop of York. You may remember he was our preacher for the Come and See event in August 2017. This is a great service to invite a friend to. He is an engaging and charismatic preacher. We will also be recognizing our graduating seniors during this service!

Join us on Sunday, May 31, as Mother Whitney and Father Frank do a Pulpit Swap. A Pulpit Swap is when priests exchange pulpits on the same Sunday. They're a fun way to expand a congregation's knowledge of clergy in the area. The Rev. Frank Hakoola is the Rector of St. John's Parish in South Salem, in the Episcopal Diocese of New York. Born and raised in Lusaka, Zambia; he was a priest in the Anglican Diocese of Lusaka for 10 years before relocating to the USA in 2016. A minister uniquely gifted with a ministry of restoration and renewal.

On this Memorial Day, we pray for those who courageously laid down their lives for the cause of freedom. May the examples of their sacrifice inspire in us selfless love. Bless the families of our fallen troops, and fill their homes and their lives with strength and peace. In union with people of goodwill of every nation, embolden us to answer the call to work for peace and justice, and thus, seek an end to violence and conflict around the globe.
