Today was a very special day! After the morning worship service, our Grace Outlet family was joined by members from Kenhorst Boulevard and Hampden Heights, along with Reading Junior Academy students and staff, as Pastor Joshua baptized Estefania and Jasper.

Estefania began attending the Kenhorst church and has been studying with Pastor Joshua. She was part of last week’s Mission Day at GO and decided she’d like to be a part of the Grace Outlet church.

Jasper and his family have been attending Grace for years. He’s a student at RJA and shared that he believes it’s the school and family who have helped him grow close to Jesus. He’s also a member of the Hampden Heights Pathfinder Club and has attended Laurel Lake summer camp for years—indicating there that he wanted to be baptized.

What is the driving force behind a life of joyful service? Why do some sacrifices seem heavy while others are made with gladness and dedication?

Join Pastor Joshua Saturday morning at 11:30 am as he explores the remarkable story of Jacob in Genesis 29 and discover the secret power that transformed seven years of labor into what seemed only a few days.

More importantly, we will see how this story points us to the greatest love ever shown: the love of Jesus Christ, who willingly gave His life on the cross to redeem us.

Through Scripture, we will discover that the Christian life is not sustained by duty alone, but by a deep appreciation of Christ's love for us. As we consider His sacrifice and His invitation to take His yoke upon us, we will learn how love can transform obedience into delight, service into worship, and sacrifice into joy.

Come and be encouraged, challenged, and inspired to respond to Christ's amazing love with a renewed commitment to serve Him wholeheartedly.

About 200 people from the Grace Outlet, Hamburg, Hampden Heights, and Kenhorst Boulevard Seventh-day Adventist Churches united in one accord for a day of worship, prayer, fellowship, and service for Sabbath's Mission Day.

Pennsylvania Conference President Gary Gibbs delivered the morning message as members from all four churches led music, greeted attendees, passed out t-shirts, and prayed together. There were so many people that they needed to eat lunch in shifts; while some ate, others got ready for the afternoon, then switched.

Their mission day activity was a family fun fair. Grace Outlet members passed out over 200 invitations at a local community night out event, while their neighbors at the Green Valley Pool also promoted the event. They also advertised on social media and with yard signs.

Members from all four churches participated in the afternoon outreach. Many volunteered at a variety of booths: a prayer and blessings booth, ask-a-pastor booth, gratitude board, story corner, nature center, craft space, make-a-card booth, and wellness checks. Volunteers shared about local family-oriented ministries: Pathfinders, Adventurers, and The LookOut drop-in play center at Grace Outlet. Reading Junior Academy and Blue Mountain Seventh-day Adventist Elementary School staff shared stories and opportunities to learn about their schools. Pathfinders handed out free water to those going to the Green Valley Pool and invited them to check out the event.

As the afternoon wrapped up, many talked about "the next time" — already planning and looking forward to uniting together to "engage in one accord" for their communities again.

Thank you to members from Kenhorst, Hampden Heights, and Hamburg churches who joined us at Grace Outlet today to hear the Word of God and help with our family fun day.

We couldn't have had a more beautiful day.

And thank you to the people of the surrounding communities who came out and joined us in the fun. We enjoyed meeting you! And look forward to seeing you again at other events.

Drink from Jesus' living water and you'll never thirst. But you also need His blood, for life is in the blood. Embrace His perfect blood to cleanse and renew you. Let Christ live in you, making changes, washing you clean, and being born again. It's a beautiful process.

Romans 5 reveals Christ died for us while we were still enemies. He suffered and was silent even when we complained and backstabbed. Yet, He gave us the water of life in exchange for our pain.
