Centering Thoughts: Our culture is filled with mottos of seizing the day and living in the moment, as though it is the highest good and best way to live. But is it? Certainly, there’s value to being fully present to the moment. And yet, we are so much more than moment to moment experiences of life. In the story of the exodus, Pharoah’s moment to moment response leads him to set the Israelites free in one moment and then running after them in the next. In the Gospels, Jesus tells of a slave filled with gratitude in one moment for the forgiveness of his massive debt, only to become violently consumed by greed in the next. Beyond the moment, who are you seeking to be?

Annie is a master craftsman in Fiber Arts with the PA Guild of Craftsmen. Known worldwide, her work can be seen throughout the United States and Europe. All members of the community are welcome to join in as we remember, reflect, and stand together in hope and unity. There will be a Presentation of Colors & National Anthem, Fire Department Brass Bell Ringing, and several Guest Speakers, including Pastor Joe Motz.

🇺🇸❤️‍🩹REMEMBER 25 — Please join us as Berks remembers, honors and celebrates those lost, and our Heroes who answered the call on 9/11. It’s Friday at 10am outside the Berks County Services Center off Reed Street with solemn memorials, singers, flags, and speakers to honor the 25th Anniversary of the attacks.

Outdoor Worship & Church Picnic
September 13 / 9:30am Wyomissing Hills Playground

Friends and guests are warmly welcomed to Bausman Memorial UCC's annual outdoor worship and picnic!

This is a great time to share in worship, food, fellowship and fun! Worship starts at 9:30am with a fried chicken luncheon following the service. Members, who are able, are asked to bring a side dish, salad, or dessert. A “cakewalk” will be held for all attendees, with a chance to win a cupcake. In the event of severe storms, high winds, or downpours, an announcement (by email, Facebook, and church voicemail) will be made to relocate the event to the church.
