We at Saint Mary Church will forever be grateful to Monsignor Domin for taking us into his pastoral care when the alternative was to close our doors forever. Monsignor was a shining example of discipleship and love. Please join us in praying for the repose of his soul.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

With faith in the Risen Christ, the parish family of St. Catharine of Siena Parish, Reading mourns the passing of Monsignor Edward Domin, who entered into eternal life on June 26, 2026.

We give thanks to Almighty God for Monsignor Domin’s many years of faithful priestly ministry, his compassionate heart, and his dedicated service to the People of God. His witness of faith, kindness, and love for the Church touched countless lives and will always be remembered with gratitude.

Święconka (sh-vee-en-soon-kah) is a cherished tradition at St. Mary’s, celebrating Easter by blessing baskets on Holy Saturday. Families prepare baskets with symbolic foods like eggs, bread, sausage, salt, and horseradish, then bring them to be blessed with holy water. This act signifies resurrection, new life, and God’s abundance. The blessed foods are shared during Easter breakfast. We appreciate everyone who participates in this meaningful tradition.
