Church Response Church Response was founded in 1972 after the Rapid City flood, to provide emergency assistance to people in need. In accordance with Federal Law and U.S.

Church Response is a Christian outreach organization that came about after the Black Hills flood of 1972 as a way for local churches to work together to serve those in the Rapid City community who could use a helping hand. The needs of displaced flood victims decreased, but the need for continued assistance became apparent. We help people in the Rapid City area with emergency assistance for food,

toiletries, utilities, and birth certificates and pictures IDs. Department of Agriculture policy, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.

What wonderful blessings we received at Church Response to give to those in need this Christmas holiday!

Rapid Valley United Methodist Church donated gift wrapped presents for kids. How wonderful for the kids who don't have much! THANK YOU!!!

St. Thomas More Middle School students did a quarter/cash fundraiser for Church Response that contributed over $600 to help purchase food for our Christmas food bags. THANK YOU!!!

Knollwood United Methodist Church donated items for presents and some really fun stress balls (snowman, penguin, reindeer) that we handed out to both kids and adults -- lots of smiles! THANK YOU!!!

Blessed Sacrament Church had a St. Nicholas event where parishioners sponsored bags for the homeless. The youth assembled over 250 stringed backpacks with warm clothes, food, toiletries and a hand made Christmas card. Beautiful! THANK YOU!!!

St. Therese Church parishioners donated $10 Dollar Tree gift cards and $10 fuel cards to bless those with a little extra help during the holiday. Youth from the Confirmation class assembled over 150 Christmas food bags. THANK YOU!!!

Do you have gently used Christmas decorations you no longer need? Church Response is accepting donations for the Angel Bazaar this Saturday, November 6. People will give a donation to Church Response in exchange for the items we have at the Bazaar. Gently used Christmas items can be dropped off at Church Response at 30 Main Street, between 9am and 4pm, by end-of-day Friday 11/5. Thank you!
