Weekday Devotionals are back!

Day 5: Jesus Saves and Delivers
Reading: Acts 4:8-12, Colossians 1:13-14

Devotional: Perhaps you've already dabbled in forbidden spiritual practices. Maybe you've consulted psychics, used tarot cards, or explored New Age spirituality. There's hope: Jesus saves to the uttermost. When former psychic Jennifer Nisa called on Jesus' name, demons fled, and peace flooded her life. There is power—delivering, liberating, transforming power—in the name of Jesus. No bo***ge is too strong, no door opened too wide, no demon too powerful. "Whom the Son sets free is free indeed" (John 8:36). Christ needs no supplement because He is completely sufficient. He doesn't share His glory with crystals, sage, or spirit guides. Today, close every door you've opened to darkness. Renounce every practice that dishonors God. Call on Jesus—He will deliver you, cleanse you, and restore peace to your mind and home. Jesus saves.

Reflection: What do you need Jesus to deliver you from today? Will you surrender it completely to Him and walk in freedom?

Day 4: The Danger of Spiritual Compromise
Reading: Deuteronomy 18:9-14, Galatians 5:16-25

Devotional: When Saul consulted the medium, he had to disguise himself and remove his royal garments. This detail reveals a profound truth: you cannot partner with darkness without removing the righteousness Christ has clothed you in. New Age spirituality—tarot cards, astrology, psychics, mediums—may seem harmless or "just for fun," but these practices open doors to the demonic realm. God's prohibitions aren't restrictive; they're protective. The enemy wants to normalize spiritual compromise until it becomes like carbon monoxide: odorless, colorless, and lethal. As God's child, you have the Holy Spirit dwelling within you, giving wisdom and revelation. You don't need intermediaries who traffic with demons. Keep your garments of righteousness on. Stay identifiable as one who belongs wholly to Christ. The insights demons offer always come with bo***ge attached.

Reflection: Are there areas where you've compromised spiritually, thinking them harmless? What needs to be removed from your life?

Weekday Devotionals are back!

Day 3: Obedience Before Insight
Reading: 1 Samuel 15:1-23, John 14:15-21

Devotional: Saul wanted fresh revelation from God while ignoring previous instructions. Samuel's rebuke echoes through centuries: "To obey is better than sacrifice" (1 Samuel 15:22). We often pray for God's guidance about our next step while neglecting His last instruction. Why would God give new direction when we haven't obeyed the old? Jesus connects obedience with relationship: "If you love me, you will keep my commandments" (John 14:15). God isn't withholding from you arbitrarily; He's waiting for wholehearted devotion. Before asking, "What's next, Lord?" ask, "Have I done what You already told me?" Obedience demonstrates that you want God Himself, not just His benefits. When you seek Him with your whole heart—not halfway, not partially—you will find Him, and He will guide your steps.

Reflection: What has God already spoken to you that remains undone? What step of obedience is He waiting for?

World Vision 6k Global Walk for Water ✅

Thank you to everyone who participated! For everyone who walked, donated, serve, served, volunteered, encouraged, and cheered people on, we salute you!

We are blessed to have access to freshwater, just as Reverend Katrina said, but we are even more blessed to have access to Living Water! [John 4:10 ESV]

That is why we participate in global movements like these to not only share the physical resources we have, but to testify about the spiritual resource we have in Christ Jesus!

Thank you to for empowering communities around the world to buy into initiatives we care about.

Go BGC! I’m sure thousands of calories were burned so the walk may have been long, but it was worth it! 😅👏🏽

Weekday Devotionals are back!

Day 2: Desperate Decisions
Reading: 1 Samuel 28:3-19, James 1:5-8

Devotional: Saul's story warns us: desperation can make us vulnerable to deception. Facing the Philistine army, terrified and receiving no answer from God, Saul sought guidance from a medium—violating God's clear commands and his own ban. When we're afraid, exhausted, or disappointed with God's timing, we become susceptible to seeking answers in forbidden places. But desperation should drive us toward God, not away from Him. James promises that God "gives generously to all without reproach" when we ask for wisdom. Whatever you're facing—financial crisis, relational turmoil, health concerns—there is no situation where consulting sources God has forbidden becomes acceptable. In your darkest moments, cling tighter to the One who is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Reflection: What situation is currently causing you desperation? How can you bring this to God rather than seeking alternative sources?

Weekday Devotionals are back!

Day 1: The Shepherd's Voice
Reading: John 10:1-16, Psalm 23

Devotional: Like sheep, we are dependent creatures who cannot navigate life's complexities alone. Jesus declares, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" (John 10:27). In a world filled with competing voices—social media influencers, cultural trends, and spiritual counterfeits—the critical question isn't whether you need guidance, but whose voice you're following. The Good Shepherd provides, protects, and guides. He knows your name and the path you should walk. Today, pause and ask: Am I familiar enough with God's voice to distinguish it from all others? Cultivate intimacy with Christ through prayer and Scripture, so when strange voices call, you'll recognize them as foreign. Your spiritual survival depends on knowing the Shepherd's voice.

Reflection: What voices are competing for your attention today? How can you tune your heart more closely to God's voice?

There is power in the name of Jesus!

A message of encouragement from today’s sermon, “Seeking Voices God Never Sent.” | A exhortation toward relying on God, alone for wisdom and guidance, and not the false wisdom of mediums.
