Zoe Stories - esumc.org/stories Edenton Street is a community of faith…
• inviting all to encounter Jesus.
• preparing believers to deepen their dependence on God.
• caring for those who are hurting.
• sending ordinary people

into the world equipped to do extraordinary things. While we have been on this corner for two hundred years we are a vibrant growing community that cares deeply about our neighborhoods. Looking for a place to worship? Ways to grow your faith? Opportunities to serve God? Not sure what you’re looking for? Check us out! Some of us are young, and some are old. There are those of us who are steeped in tradition and others of us who worship in a more contemporary style. There are those of us who are new to the faith and those who are just beginning to explore a faith. Of course, there are those of us who have been here for decades.

Sermon Recap | May 31st | Rev. Kevin Baker
Before anything existed, there was love—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in perfect harmony, inviting all creation into the song.

That same melody still echoes today. We are not accidents at the edge of the universe. We are beloved, created by love and for love, drawn into God's grace-filled dance.

What would it look like to join the song and invite someone else to hear it too?

A Meditation on the Mystery of the Trinity
Grace, love, and fellowship—three gifts, one God. A holy community of giving, receiving, and belonging.

This is not a demand, but an invitation: to live in the harmony at the heart of all creation.

Take a moment with this meditation and receive the grace of Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit—and share that life with the world.

A new series begins this Sunday.

The Psalms are poems, songs, and love letters to God, all 150 of them, covering every season of life and every emotion we could ever bring to God. Joy, grief, praise, raw lament, wonder, doubt. It's all in there, and it's all welcome in the life of faith.

If you've been reading the Bible in a Year with us, you're already in the Psalms right now. This Sunday we're going to lean in deeper.

We launch Language of the Heart: Psalms for Every Season on Trinity Sunday, May 31st, starting with Psalm 8: "Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name throughout the earth."

Services at 8, 9, and 11am. Come worship with us. 🙏

Sermon Recap | May 24th | Rev. Kevin Baker
The church was never meant to be built on status, credentials, or gatekeeping. From the very beginning, the Spirit created a new kind of community—one marked by generosity, shared tables, prayer, welcome, and lives transformed by Jesus.

The same Spirit that moved among the disciples at Pentecost is still moving today.
Still gathering.
Still transforming.
Still setting hearts on fire for Jesus.

What kind of community are we becoming together?

A Meditation on Pentecost
God pours out the Holy Spirit on all people—giving us courage to speak truth in love, to dream dreams, and to imagine a world shaped by God’s goodness and peace.

Until the day when all is made well, the Spirit remains with us, empowering us to live boldly and share this good news with the world.

Take a moment with this meditation and open your heart to the movement of the Holy Spirit.

Thank you to everyone who donated blood at our Red Cross Blood Drive this week! 🩸

Thirty-eight units of blood were collected—enough to help save 114 lives!

That’s 114 chances for healing, hope, and more time with loved ones. A powerful reminder that even a small act of kindness can make a life-changing difference.

📅 Our next drive is Sept. 16, 10:00 AM–3:00 PM in the Bulla Gym. Save the date!

A big night with Big Questions! So grateful for this group of people who leaned into curiosity last night—asking honest questions about God and faith, wondering out loud together, and making space for meaningful conversation as we seek to follow Jesus and live out our faith in authentic ways.
