There are those of us who are steeped in tradition and others of us who worship in a more contemporary style. There are those of us who are new to the faith and those who are just beginning to explore a faith. Of course, there are those of us who have been here for decades.

Yesterday was one of those days that felt like church at its best.

From worship and fellowship to service and listening, every part offered an opportunity to connect—with God, with one another, and with our neighbors. Along the way, we enjoyed sweet treats, decorated grocery bags for Urban Ministries, and launched the first of our Dawson Street Lot Listening Sessions.

These are the kinds of Sundays that remind us what it means to be a church family: growing in faith, loving our neighbors, and seeking God’s vision together.

A Meditation on Psalm 116
What can we give back to God for all the blessings poured out upon us?

When we look across the landscape of our lives, we can see God's goodness in both the extraordinary and the everyday—in healing and hope, in a hot cup of coffee, in the love of those who walk beside us.

The faithful response is not to repay God's gifts, but to receive them with gratitude and offer our praise in return.

Take a moment with this meditation and give thanks for the blessings, both seen and unseen, that surround you.

Mercy. Hesed. Covenant love.

Jesus invites us to sing that ancient song again—to choose compassion over exclusion, grace over judgment, and love over fear.
