Happy Holy Humor Sunday from Raleigh Mennonite! A favorite tradition of our kids (and kids at heart), Holy Humor Sunday is a day to celebrate JOY and the joke Jesus played on the devil with the empty tomb after death and empire thought they had won.

We were also joyful to have with us again this week and grateful for his reminder to let whimsy and awe shape our faith. Looking forward to having you with us every week in just a few short months!

The word “church” holds a spectrum of meaning, depending on who you ask. For Raleigh Mennonite “church” means art tables in Sunday worship and an abundance of ice cream at fellowship meals. It also means gathering to clean a family’s home while a parent recovers from surgery, welcoming our unhoused neighbors overnight when temps dip below freezing, and painting reusable banners to hold as we stand for the dignity of others.
