Nothing fancy. No smoke n' mirrors. No hoops to jump through. Just a loving family of imperfect people seeking the One True Living God! The preacher is sometimes silly but is serious about souls being saved and lives being transformed by The Lord Jesus Christ through the power of The Holy Spirit. Not in it for the income (God provided me with a good paying job.) We're in it for the outcome! If this sounds like a church you're interested in then you/your family are certainly welcomed here! Service times are: Sunday School 9:45am/ Morning Worship 11am/ Evening Worship 6pm. Hope to see y'all there! There is room for YOU @ RFBC!

Can you imagine how to measure just one sin? We tend to act as if "theirs" is greater and our sins are thin... Black, white, brown; republican, democrat...it don't matter! Sin is the infection but grace is the answer... You see, Jesus is so much more than politics or religion. He's the reason we live, move and have our being... we tend to think if I look neat on the outside, no one will notice. Playing "Russian roulette" without eternity in focus... You see, there's pleasure is sin but only for a season. Gratifying our flesh is the only reason... However, the real deception is to think "we're ok." NOT realizing that our soul could be required of us any day... religion says "do" yet Christ says "Done!" Religion brings death, yet there's LIFE in The Son!... religion cares not who it decieves; no reguard of a steeple. It robs from the truth of eternity and destroys people... religion attempts to spray perfume on a casket. It boasts of itself yet its built on a throne of ashes... Sin is the culprit and we are the tool. Boasting white washed tombs but inwardly, fools... religion disreguards genuine repentance; it only wants fame! However, it dies when you trust only in Christ's Name!... His life for mine while I was yet an enemy of the cross! He became my sin, and took my shame; my victory was His loss... Jesus became poor that I could be rich and Heaven's citizen. Sins's plight met God's remedy!... with every CROWN, there is a COST! With every victory, there is a CROSS!... Not of anything good that I have done. His life for mine; His grace for my grossness; His mercy for my misery; HIS BLOOD ONLY could for our sins atone. Religion dies, sin lost, shame is gone, paid in FULL... HE WON! In Christ, Tim Smith

The only bird that dares to peck an eagle is the raven. It sits on the eagle’s back and bites its neck. However, the eagle doesn’t respond or fight with the raven. It does not spend time or energy with the raven. It just opens its wings and begins to fly higher in the sky. The higher the flight, the harder it is for the raven to breathe and the raven eventually falls due to lack of oxygen. Not all battles we need to respond to.... Are we a raven or an eagle? (Figuratively speaking) you can always spot a "raven." Always pecking at others, complaining and trying to bring everybody down around them. (Misery loves company) but it goes deeper than what we might see. **Wounded people wound people.*** As hard as it may be...be kind and pray for them. Forgive them as you have been forgiven. "They don't deserve it!" Neither do we! Remember the cross! Humble yourselves under the Mighty Hand of God and HE will lift you UP! Let it go! Give it to God and go higher!

Never despise small beginnings... As I rise this Sunday morning my heart is humbled. There's a lil' church and it's people in Ragland AL that has stolen a piece of my heart. No, I'm not reporting a crime...it ain't their fault. Before my wife and I were called to RFBC; we were minding our own business. We knew that God would open a door for us. I even said to her before we were sent "don't be surprised if it's a lil' small country church." You see, God hasn't forgotten about that remnant of people who "stick it out" when times get tough. They remained! They're rooted! Ah yes, you could say "well, they're just set in their ways!" Well, God has a way of getting us where we need to be. Man looks at the outer appearance but God sees the heart! Yes, "we got dirt..we haven't arrived...we're not where we aught to be." However, a "gold miner" ain't lookin' for dirt! He's lookin' for gold! He may move tons of dirt to get to the GOLD! We all have biases, preferences and yes even traditions...so did the original "rag-tag...rough around the edges" group of desciples He hand-picked! However, ive humbly learned "don't despise small beginnings!" God worked a process in them...just like He's working a process in us. Why? So He gets the glory! I see You Lord! Thank You for not "throwing the clay away!" In Christ, Tim Smith
