After a busy summer, our staff are taking a well-deserved break over Labor Day Weekend. We will be closed starting Friday at 5pm and will re-open at 9am on Tuesday. We hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend and we'll see you on 8th!

We’re excited to welcome Trebbe Johnson to the center in October for her retreat, The Feathers of Grief and Joy. For decades, Trebbe has explored the relationship between grief, joy, beauty, and our connection with the natural world, inviting us to find meaning and make beauty even in wounded places.

In this retreat, she’ll explore how we can move through grief while remaining open to beauty, wonder, and joy, and how, even in the midst of grief, we remain ourselves.

Never a dull moment around here, being right on Lake Michigan! Our first Footsteps & Fellowship walk took place this morning and we were treated to a beautiful show over the waters as another late summer storm front rolled through. It was an incredible experience. So calm and beautiful, until the wall of wind finally reached us. Still beautiful, but completely changed the feeling of the moment. Nature is truly a splendor to behold!
