An extra bonus for the 5th Annual Touch & Agree International Ministries Fellowship Conference is Brother Jose Garcia. He currently serves as a Juvenile Justice Aftercare Staff member for the Southeastern Wisconsin Youth For Christ. The Juvenile Justice Program reaches “at risk” students with a goal to break the cycle of juvenile crime by providing a variety of pro-social, faith-based alternatives to their existing patterns of delinquent behavior. While effectively influencing the thinking, behavior, attitudes, choices, and life-direction of teen offenders by providing them with the necessary tools and support for success.
Jose Garcia begins third year as a part-time assistant coach in 2015-16 with Carthage College. A native of Kenosha, Wis., he attended Kenosha's St. Joseph High School, where he was an All-Midwest Classic Conference basketball player. Garcia attended Dominican University (Ill.) and earned All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference honors in both 2007 and 2008.
He graduated from Dominican (Ill.) in 2008 and is working on his master's in education at Carthage. Garcia works for the Kenosha Unified School District and has previously coached at both Dominican (Ill.) and the College of Lake County.
