REMINDER: The semi-annual American Red Cross Blood drive is this Thursday, May 14, from 1pm to 6pm. You can sign up online at: www.redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code "Hephzibah"; you can sign up by calling the church office at: (919) 965-5886; or, you can show up. Please bring your photo ID and Donor Card. Help save lives by donating blood. 1 pint of your blood can save up to 3 lives.

UPDATE: Curtis had strong antibiotics injected into his eye. There is still alot of infection and pain in his eye, not much change but it's not getting worse. We return to Duke Eye Center for a re-check on Friday. Hopefully the infection will continue to heal and the pain will decrease. Their main concern is in saving the eye. Thank you all for your contacts, messages but mostly prayers.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST: Sissy took her dad to the Ophthalmologist this morning. They have sent them to Duke. The infection in his eye is no better and the concern is how far it has spread. The present antibiotics did little to no good to clear it up. He will most likely lose the eye. Pray that the infection is still localized. Pray for the doctors and nurses who will be treating him. And pray for Curtis, Pat, Sissy, and the family that whatever procedure they do will bring about healing.

Thank you Lord for the much needed rain. As my Great Grandmother used to say, "God is never late. He is always right on time." We praise you and thank you for your abundant blessings upon us. Thank you for hearing and answering our prayers.
