Demo day begins. God is good.

Jeremiah 18:4

4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

I'm thankful that God recycles, reshapes, refines, and continues to use us for His good purposes. Even when we're marred, scared, damaged, and broken, He can still find good use for us. Sometimes it's in the demolition can He really do His best and most beautiful work. It takes time, but one foot in front of the other. One step at a time, one day at a time. The work will be worth it.

Happy Thursday Morning friends.

Isaiah 43:2 KJV
[2] When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

This doesnt say if you go through these things, but when. Life guarantees times of troubles and struggles. God offers His best assistance through those times. The waters and fires are not there to destroy you, but rather define, refine, prune, perfect, and strengthen you. When you come out of these circumstances, you won't look like what you went through. You'll look better, stronger, happier, more prepared for the next season. A sports team always has ups and downs throughout a season. They get battle tested to see if they can become champions through the adversity they face throughout the journey of the season. You can't skip to the end without going through each weekly test(s). Every season is also different. You never see exactly the same struggles and challenges in another season as previous ones. So remain steadfast, unmoveable, unshakable in the fire and the waters, God is preparing you for something greater and getting you battle tested to still be standing as a champion at the end of the season.

Psalm 61:2-3
2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. 3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

Life is overwhelming. Some days, people in our lives are overwhelming. Trials and temptations are overwhelming. Some days, loneliness has a way of bringing an overwhelming presence. When life is swirling and all the chaos gets to be too much, we can find the calm presence of peace in the midst of it all. Jesus has been that stable Rock for me in those times.

Even when He's silent because He might be laying His head on a pillow in my boat, or perhaps He's tarrying a little too long while what I am concerned with is laying in a tomb dead for 4 days, or maybe I am tired of laying beside the waters waiting for the stirring and moving of the Spirit to encourage me once again, through all this I just need to be still and draw back to that solid Rock that is stable, constant, and safe. It's in the most difficult and quiet times when I learn who I really am. Am I going to continue to lay there in my pity or encourage myself in the Lord? Times of refreshing and drawing towards the Rock of my Salvation will always give me the strength and courage to rise back up and keep going forward. This is the time to show life, that you likewise can be too overwhelming for what it has to offer.

Resilience wins if you refuse to quit!!!

Pastor's Monday Morning Bread at the Table

Luke 22:31-32
31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

When Satan is desiring to sift someone, he brings intense testing upon their faith. Church, today more than ever I see an intense testing and shaking being done in the lives of many. The church is being shaken like never before. We fail the test by playing the game with the enemy. He cannot win if we choose not to play.

I hear the Lord say today to the church, stop playing the game with the devil. If we are going to play the game, we will lose. If we will stay focused on the Lord Jesus, the mission of the church which is the harvest, and continue in prayer, that's how we win.

Notice how Jesus said to Peter, but I have prayed for you. Our Savior was interceding on his behalf. Well guess what? Where is Jesus today? He is seated at the Right Hand of the Father, ever making intercession for us (Romans 8:34). Jesus is praying for us church. But we have to stay focused. Stay converted, so that we can strengthen the brethren. Not only that, but finally quit playing the games of division, strife, and complete nonsense in the church. If the harvest is ever going to be reached, we must choose to get up from the chess table and actively work the fields. Our faith will always be tested no matter what. But oftentimes, our faith fails because we are too focused on the game we're losing and not on the battlefield in which we've been granted victory even before the battle started.

Stop playing the game church, and start praying again. God bless.

It's so refreshing to be in the House of the Lord for 4 hours praying. For first couple hours, was there alone with the Lord. After 2 hours, the whole sanctuary was nothing but a fog. The presence of the Lord just fell. Just kept it going when folks showed up. God is restoring and preparing the church for revival. God's not done.

This morning while preaching, the Lord dropped in my spirit the title for the Easter message in 2 weeks. We will have a potluck after service, and an egg hunt for the kids. The title is The Cross is Still Powerful Enough.
