Part 1 photos. October 31st is another cold start to the day with a light frost on the ground. A lot of blue sky again with some clouds too. Rain is needed.

A walk through of our property today with views in it as well as our families, friends and neighbors in St. Raphael Catholic Cemetery are viewable here. Remember that questions about their property need to go to the office of the Parish Priest. Entrance to their cemetery is from East Main Street east of the parish hall.

Walking both cemeteries and the hills within each is a great bone building exercise!! :-) :-) :-)

10/30/2026

October 30th is a bit cooler today after light rain in the night. We need MUCH more!!!
It is also semi cloudy today. A wind blows which is not strong but it enables the air to feel colder.

Here are a few photos today from a walk through our property. The foliage for 2026 is most all on the ground now.

October 29th is another cold start day with clear sky.
A walk through the property this afternoon reveals the present state of the foliage colors.
The walk also includes some views of plots of our families and friends who are neighbors in St. Raphael Catholic Cemetery.

October 24th is a chilly start today with a heavy frost on the ground and more blue sky.

Another 1 1/2 hours of brush cleaning with trip to the burn site of grapevines and brambles all deposited there is now completed by one volunteer senior trustee.
The bucket from yesterday was filled to the rim and also a fallen maple branch across the roadway on the opposite hill road was taken too. Not a super thick one but a long one so getting it into the Honda suv transport was the challenge. :-)

More clean up work in the property is still to be done when volunteer time and weather permits. ***AND help with removal of the small stumps in the section along the left side of the hill roadway is still needed.
Note: Anyone assisting with the clean up need to wear thick gloves as many brambles with thorns sticking out of them still remain in those areas.

One day after Veterans Day (November 11th) in 2026 our non-profit will be 164 years old.
That's 164 years of volunteers overseeing this beautiful property in our community.
A 501(c)(13) non-profit, gifts and bequests are tax deductible by donors.
Gifts may be sent to Poultney Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 63, Poultney, VT 05764-0063.
Each are gratefully appreciated and help with costs regards to roads, trees, lawn care and other property maintenance needs.

October 23rd is another beautiful sunny day but a bit cool.

One volunteer senior trustee completed another 1 and 1/2 hours of cleaning brush along the left side of the hill road.
Work today stopped in the area of 2nd stump where help is needed to remove it.
The bucket is nearly full again but the burn site is not open until tomorrow. The bucket will be filled Saturday so it all can be deposited there.

More clean up work is still to be done in today's spot. Pulling up the grapevines spreading through the ground is a great bone builders exercise. :-) :-) :-)
But more volunteer helpers will be gratefully appreciated.

As of today our weather forecast is looking good for about five days ahead. It would be wonderful to have more helpers to get more work done.
Once the hill road is done two other areas in our property await clearing.

October 22nd and the day began again with a frost on the ground and clear blue sky.
The day has warmed up and the sun has helped make it an enjoyable day.

In the afternoon one senior volunteer trustee got another 1 1/2 hours brush clean up time done. Again it was in the area along the left side of the hill road. And today is the day the brush disposal burn site is open so another bucket full was delivered there. The new manager there, Bruce, is very helpful and appreciates that no leaves and only brush are in the bucket.

With exception of removal of the stump in the photo there is now room in the cleared area to park a small vehicle off the road.

One other small stump remains there too we need a volunteer helper to remove it.
