Today the kids and teens will have a chance to ask questions about whatever Bible stuff they don't understand. Game time, worship, prayer and lunch. Tacos are on the menu. Im taking a break from my work at the office and I have to share with everyone on my facebook-- whether you care or you don't. I am leading a group, by the prompting of the Holy Spirit of the Lord, through the bible in one year. Today is day 52. Because I have involved others, although online, I felt it was very important that I made time for me and the Lord only-- no one else. So after I would share with the group what to read, I would pray and ask the Lord to lead me for personal time with Him, to some place in His word, that would guide me for the day. It's been only one week of adding this. Every day, during prayer I see the name of the book, the chapter and key verse. I have never been more aware of the Holy Spirit in my life. You cannot imagine the way your perspective changes when you are focused on fulfilling the call of the spirit for the day, instead of the call of your heart, which scripture says in jeremiah, is deceitful anyway! Why do we "follow our hearts" if the LORD of ALL, says it is deceitful? Why are we surprised when following our heart leads to, gluttony, sexual immorality, addiction etc.? The flipside of the coin is found in Psalm 37-- delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Sound backward? Your heart changes when you pursue the Lord willingly. when you heart is changed, you break through the deceit and find yourself saying "Here I am, send me." Mark my words, if you are still reading this, when this comes up on my memories next year, I will post a testimony of what the Lord did, with this new found, day to day submission to the will of the Holy Ghost. If you are hungry to submit as well, message me. It's not silly. There is nothing more incredible than walking with the Holy Ghost.

How many of you knew that on 11/15/2023 a man was shot in the head for sharing Gods word? THIS IS A PRAYER PRIORITY and yet I have not heard until just now-- a month later. Christians, we need not be so wrapped in the worldly news that we are missing needs like this. The distraction is of the enemy and we are responsible collectively AND INDIVIDUALLY to take these things into account.

In addition praying, we should take an inventory about whether we are ready to face the kind of persecution, even here in the US, that is to come? How submitted is submitted? Remember, if you are neither hot nor called, you will be spit out.

There will be NO meeting this Sunday, in lieu of our trip to fields of Faith this evening. We will come together again two Sundays from this one. The date would be 11/12/23 @12:30pm-2pm. As always, lunch provided ❤️

THIS SUNDAY 8/6, New Life Ministries at First Baptist Church is hosting a welch Hymn sing at 3PM! The group of singers will be singing traditional hymns in English AND WELCH! SO BEAUTIFUL!

BECAUSE OF THE HYMN SING, PICT YOUTH WILL GET TOGETHER SATURDAY (8/5) AND GO OUT FOR CHRIST LED MINI GOLF!

Parents welcome, teens are paid for by youth Pastor Rae Lee, adults will be responsible for their own game at $8.

WE WILL BE LEAVING THE CHURCH AT 11:30AM AND RETURNING BY 2:30!
