Bethlehem Youth

Bethlehem Youth This is the Page of the Bethlehem Church youth group. Our desire is for our youth to be alive and on fire for God with a burning passion for more of Him!

Our goal is for each young person to learn how to fulfill the will of God in their lives, growing daily in pursuit of our Lord and Savior. We desire to see them each have a deeper walk with Jesus Christ by developing a personal relationship with Him. We aim to instill in them the truth of the Word of the Lord and a love for that truth!

!!!MEET THE YOUTH MONDAY!!!
My name is Cole Gillen. Some hobbies of mine are hunting and fishing. I am in the choir, production team, and cleaning team. A ministry I want to join is photography. My favorite thing about Bethlehem is the leadership.

My testimony is that I was in and out of church when my family and I started going. I always knew who God was when I was little, but when we really started going consistently, I fell in love with God and really learned who He was. A couple of years went by, and now I am involved in ministry and really in tune with God, but I was dealing with anger, pride, and depression the entire time. Instead of giving it to God, I buried it. With each day I grew more prideful. The anger turned to rage, and the depression dragged me deeper into a pit.

My love for God was not as strong. The fire that was once lit was only an ember. I blamed God for what I was going through because every day I prayed for Him to deliver me, but I did not hear Him and nothing changed. I was giving up at this point, and instead of talking to someone about it, I fully shut down and hid it.

Then one Saturday night I was sick and tired, so I told God, if You really want me, if You really love me, and if You really think of me the way You said, then tomorrow on Sunday I am going to go to that altar one last time for help. When I got to the altar, I received my joy, peace, and happiness. I was delivered from it all.

A piece of advice I have is that the test makes your testimony. What you have gone through is not for nothing. It is going to make you who God wants you to be.

!!!MEET THE YOUTH MONDAY!!!

My name is Keegan Washington. I am 15 years old, and I am thankful that I get to call Bethlehem my home. My hobbies usually consist of staying outdoors and finding new things to do every day.

I am involved in the worship team, the photography team, as well as the creative team. My favorite thing about Bethlehem is how welcoming the people are and the atmosphere they create, even for newcomers to the church.

Ever since moving back to Bethlehem, it has been a struggle for me. I looked at myself with discouragement and negativity, thinking I was not going to get anywhere spiritually. I was always the one who never talked and tried my best to stay behind the scenes, but that only made things worse for me on the inside. From the beginning, I knew how dead and numb I had made myself become toward God, sitting in the same hole I had dug for myself spiritually. I went into service after service knowing I needed to make a change, but the devil had me bound in so much fear that I could not overcome it. It made me want to do everything alone without God, so I decided to be complacent with where I was. I completely shut God out of my life. I was headed in the opposite direction of where I needed to be, and I felt so much sorrow and shame that I wanted to give up every day. I always thought I would never be good enough to live up to the expectations and standards He had for me, filling my mind with negativity and doubt until I found myself completely lost.

But I remember one day so vividly when I desperately prayed to God to give me one more chance and let His will overtake my life instead of trying to do it alone. Ever since then, I have built strong bonds with the people at Bethlehem who are now some of my closest friends. It looked impossible, but all I needed was a little faith, and God pulled me from that pit that seemed so empty and endless. He reminded me that no matter what comes my way, He still has a plan for my life.

!!!MEET THE YOUTH MONDAY!!!
Hello my name is Brody Hall I’m 13 years old and some of my hobbies are crocheting and singing.

A ministry that I’m in is choir and I hope to be in other ministries in the future. My favorite thing about Bethlehem is you can come in the church no matter how you are or how you look and still feel welcome.

The devil always messes with my mind but I’m still hanging on. The devil is going to mess with you but just remember to stay strong and never give up.

!!!MEET THE YOUTH MONDAY!!!
Hey everyone! My name is Jaydyn. I’m 16 years old, and I’m grateful to be a part of Bethlehem Church. I enjoy coffee shops, journaling, prayer meetings, spending time with friends, listening to testimonies, and creating safe spaces where people can truly be themselves.

I have a heart for prayer, encouragement, and ministry, and I hope to become more involved in outreach and serving in ways that help those who are struggling feel God’s peace and love. My favorite thing about Bethlehem is the presence of God and the genuine love found there. It’s a place where healing can begin, growth is encouraged, and people are reminded that they’re not alone.

For a long time, I struggled with anxiety, depression, loneliness, and constantly feeling like I wasn’t good enough. I overthought everything and carried a lot of pain quietly. At a young age, I experienced hurt that no child should ever have to go through, and that pain followed me into my teenage years. To cope, I began hanging out with the wrong crowd, partying, drinking, and getting into ungodly relationships. I was walking down paths that didn’t bring healing—only temporary distractions.

I was introduced to responsibility very early in life and learned how to take care of myself before I was ready. Even though I grew up in the church (CME—Christian Methodist Episcopal), singing in the choir, attending children’s church, and being deeply involved through my grandmother, the pain I carried made it hard to truly feel peace.

When my grandmother passed away, everything changed. In that moment, my world turned upside down. She was my foundation, my covering, and my connection to faith. Losing her left a hole I didn’t know how to fill. My journey into the Pentecostal faith came with challenges, and not everyone understood it at first. There was a season when circumstances kept me from attending church, but God never left me. Even through trials and spiritual opposition, He strengthened me and carried my family through.
