From the Pastor's Desk, Sheriff's Dept. Event at Flint Hill about Human Trafficking

Flint Hill M. B. Church will be hosting the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Dept. for a presentation on Human Trafficking and Child Sexual Abuse on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 11 a.m. In case you missed it, there was a major press conference held August 4, 2026 in Oxford, MS, hosted by the office of the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Mississippi, Scott Leary, and involving officials at the local, state, and federal level about Operation Muddy Waters, a sting operation targeting individuals engaged in child sexual abuse and human trafficking. Some individuals from our local area were arrested as a result of this sting operation.

The public is invited to this presentation. On that Sunday,, we will have Devotion as usual, then proceed with the presentation from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Dept. Bring yourself, your children, and children from the neighborhood, so that you may be educated on this topic. We invite the community, representatives from local churches, and other community organizations to attend this presentation to increase your awareness about what is happening in our local area and beyond regarding this important topic.
