Choosing Godly Ways Every Day
Have you ever made a choice and immediately thought, "Yeah... that probably wasn't the best decision"?
Choices shape our lives. Especially the small, everyday ones.
Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT
5 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take."
This verse reminds us that following God isn't just about big moments, it's about daily direction.
Main Point: Choosing Godly ways daily doesn't mean being perfect. It means being intentional.
Every day, we face choices:
How we talk to people.
What we watch or listen to.
How we respond when we're angry.
Who we allow to influence us.
Godly choices usually don't scream for attention. They're often quiet, harder, and sometimes unpopular.
Here's a simple way to remember it: ASK.
A - Ask God
Start your day with a short prayer:
"God, help me make choices that honor You today."
Even 10 seconds matters.
S - Stop and Think
Before reacting, ask:
Does this reflect God's love?
Will this choice help or harm my relationship with God?
K - Keep Going (even when it's hard)
Godly choices aren't always easy, but they are worth it. Obedience builds strength over time.
Real-Life Example
Imagine you're in a group chat or in a room where people start trash-talking someone.
A Godly choice might mean:
Not joining in
Changing the subject
Or even standing up for that person
That choice might feel awkward, but it reflects Jesus.
Luke 9:23 says following Jesus means choosing His way daily, not once in a while.
Today's Challenge:
Ask yourself:
What is one choice I made today that honored God? What is one choice I can make to improve tomorrow?
Small steps. Daily decisions. Big impact.
Closing Prayer:"God, help us choose Your ways every day, not just when it's easy, but when it's hard. Give us wisdom, courage, and hearts that want to follow You. Amen."
