⚠️ WEATHER UPDATE FOR PORT ARTHUR RESIDENTS ⚠️
The City of Port Arthur is closely monitoring weather conditions as a tropical disturbance moves along the Texas coast. Residents should expect periods of heavy rain, gusty winds and the potential for localized flooding throughout the week.
At this time, there are NO evacuation orders in effect, and residents are encouraged to continue normal activities while remaining weather aware.
Please take a few minutes to:
✅ Monitor local weather forecasts and official City communications.
✅ Secure outdoor furniture and loose items.
✅ Ensure you have flashlights, batteries, medications, and emergency supplies available.
✅ Check on elderly family members, neighbors, and those with special needs.
✅ Avoid driving through flooded roadways.
Remember:
🚗 TURN AROUND — DON'T DROWN
Just a few inches of moving water can sweep a vehicle away. Never drive around barricades or into flooded streets.
The City of Port Arthur Emergency Management Office and public safety personnel are actively monitoring conditions and will provide updates as necessary.
Stay informed. Stay prepared. Stay safe.
