As parents, we make countless decisions that shape what our children believe is most important. This thoughtful article is a loving but challenging reminder that our priorities preach long before our words do.

Whether you agree with every point or not, it’s worth reading and reflecting on. I hope it encourages all of us to ask an important question:

What are my children learning about what comes first in our family?

It was, simultaneously, encouraging and deflating.

I’m looking forward to our summer weekend youth retreat coming up soon. Our aim is to grow in bonds of fellowship and to grow in following Jesus along the journey he’s called us to walk. I’ve worked this past week on our discipleship journal and can’t wait to walk through five trails of discipleship. I’ll be getting these bound this week. The excitement is building !

This group of guys will all be in the teen class next Sunday ! We met tonight to wrap these families in prayer and to encourage them to not waste the opportunity the next six years affords them.

For our summer lunch devo today, we talked about our identity in Christ from 1 Peter 2:9-10. Who we are determines our attitudes and choices. We had lunch at Ghatti’s and then made cookies to deliver to our local fire and police depts. We pray for our men and women in uniform who serve our community.
