The sword reminds Reecie of the way God equipped Adam with a plow and a sword, calling leaders to a life of selfless love to cultivate, grow, and protect. For Reecie, the sword is a reminder that as a leader, "you're guarding and protecting your family" from those who seek to destroy and wreak havoc

"There's no doubt that it's lonely at the top or it certainly feels that way."
Mike McCormick, Pastor of Leadership and Connections at Calvary Christian Church, discusses why many pastors feel stretched thin and carry the ministry load alone. He explains that this level of responsibility can become a "really heavy burden," leading to the "heroic leader" model where "it all kind of rests on your shoulders." We are thrilled to announce that registration is now officially open for the 2025 Together for the Mountains Summit! Join us in Pikeville, KY, from October 3-4, 2025, for a transformative event focused on equipping Christian leaders to impact their communities through gospel-centered living in every sphere.

Theme: Beyond the Building
This year's theme, "Beyond the Building," is all about helping Christian leaders across Eastern Kentucky expand their ministry impact. Our goal is to move beyond simply growing our churches and instead equip believers to live out their faith in every vocation, neighborhood, and region.

What to Expect:
-Inspiring Speakers: Hear from leaders like Jon Weece and Jared Arnett, who will share stories and practical guidance.
-Community Tours: Participate in guided tours of Pikeville, including a Downtown Walking Tour and a Bypass Tour, to see real examples of faith in action.
-Activation Lab: Engage in a guided, small-group environment to apply what you've learned, clarify your vision, and commit to action.
-Networking: The Summit is a place to gather churches, faith-based nonprofits, kingdom entrepreneurs, and partners for inspiration, training, and collaborative vision-setting. You'll connect with leaders across sectors to encourage collaboration and shared learning.
