Daily Bread - God Is By Your Side

FOR I, THE LORD YOUR GOD, WILL HOLD YOUR RIGHT HAND,
SAYING TO YOU, ‘FEAR NOT, I WILL HELP YOU.’
( ISAIAH 41:13 )

Dear Friends,
We often face troubling times in our lives that cause us to
worry and lose sleep. As a child of God you have Him at your
side, holding your hand, and guiding your pathway through
those times. For THE LORD IS GOOD, A STRONGHOLD IN THE
DAY OF TROUBLE; AND HE KNOWS THOSE WHO TRUST IN
HIM. ( NAHUM 1:7 )

He will never abandon HIS Children, throughout their
entire lives. For He is always with us no matter what we may
face, as He further promised, WHEN YOU PASS THROUGH THE
WATERS, I WILL BE WITH YOU; AND THROUGH THE RIVERS,*
THEY SHALL NOT OVERFLOW YOU. WHEN YOU WALK
THROUGH THE FIRE,* YOU SHALL NOT BE BURNED, NOR
SHALL THE FLAME SCORCH YOU. ( ISAIAH 43:2 )
[*Rivers and *Fire in the verse represent difficulties in
our lives]

Therefore Friends; FEAR NOT, FOR I AM WITH YOU; BE NOT
DISMAYED, FOR I AM YOUR GOD. I WILL STRENGTHEN
YOU, YES, I WILL HELP YOU, I WILLUPHOLD YOU WITH
MY RIGHTEOUS RIGHT HAND. ( ISAIAH 41:10 )

So, the next time you face troubling times, do as
Jesus said, "LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED; YOU
BELIEVE IN GOD, BELIEVE ALSO IN ME." ( JOHN 14:1 )
Then WHEN YOU LIE DOWN, YOU WILL NOT BE AFRAID;
YES, YOU WILL LIE DOWN AND YOUR SLEEP WILL BE
SWEET. AMEN. ( PROVERBS 3:24 )

Now Friends, have a Great day walking hand and hand
with God and knowing that He is by your side!

Daily Bread - When Troubles Surround You

THE SALVATION OF THE RIGHTEOUS IS FROM THE LORD;
HE IS THEIR STRENGTH IN THE TIME OF TROUBLE. AND
THE LORD SHALL HELP THEM AND DELIVER THEM; HE
SHALL DELIVER THEM FROM THE WICKED, AND SAVE
THEM, BECAUSE THEY TRUST IN HIM.
( PSALM 37:39-40 )

Dear Friends,
We all have troubles in our lives from time to time.
Even King David did, however he always turned to God
for help, for he knew that God was always with him.
David wrote; THOUGH I WALK IN THE MIDST OF TROUBLE,
YOU PRESERVE MY LIFE. YOU STRETCH OUT YOUR
HAND AGAINST THE ANGER OF MY FOES; WITH YOUR
RIGHT HAND YOU SAVE ME. ( PSALM 138:7 )

Our Heavenly Father is always with us as well, and just
like David; GOD IS OUR REFUGE AND STRENGTH, AN EVER-
PRESENT HELP IN TROUBLE. ( PSALM 46:1 )

So, Friends when troubles surround you; BE STRONG AND
COURAGEOUS. DO NOT BE AFRAID OR TERRIFIED
BECAUSE OF THEM, FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD GOES
WITH YOU; HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE
YOU. ( DEUTERONOMY 31:6 )

So; PRAISE BE TO THE GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD
JESUS CHRIST, THE FATHER OF COMPASSION AND THE
GOD OF ALL COMFORT, WHO COMFORTS US IN ALL OUR
TROUBLES, SO THAT WE CAN COMFORT THOSE IN ANY
TROUBLE WITH THE COMFORT WE OURSELVES RECEIVE
FROM GOD. Amen! ( 2 CORINTHIANS 1:3-4 )

Daily Bread - Keep Your Eyes on Jesus

AND WHEN THE DISCIPLES SAW HIM WALKING ON THE
SEA, THEY WERE TROUBLED, SAYING, “IT IS A GHOST!”
AND THEY CRIED OUT FOR FEAR. BUT IMMEDIATELY
JESUS SPOKE TO THEM, SAYING, BE OF GOOD CHEER!
IT IS I; DO NOT BE AFRAID. SO HE SAID, “COME”. AND
WHEN PETER HAD CAME DOWN OUT OF THE BOAT, HE
WALKED ON THE WATER TO GO TO JESUS. BUT WHEN
HE SAW THAT THE WIND WAS BOISTEROUS, HE WAS
AFRAID; AND BEGINNING TO SINK HE CRIED OUT, SAYING,
"LORD SAVE ME!"
( MATTHEW 14:26-27, & 29-30 )

Dear Friends,
Now Peter began to sink because he took his eyes off of
Jesus, and focused on the waves all around him. This was
because his faith faltered. So, what did Peter do but reach
out to Jesus who was the only one who could save him!
You see Peter forgot to; WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT.
( 2 CORINTHIANS 5:7 )

Now we may not be walking on water, but when our
troubles surround us, if we focus on them instead of placing
our faith in Jesus, we will start to sink as well!

So, Friends, when you are facing difficulties and troubles
surround you; keep your eyes on Jesus' power rather than
on your problems. Also, when you are apprehensive about
your troubles, and if you doubt Christ's presence or His
great ability to help; remember that He is the only one that
can really help you as well!

So tonight, why not read this story. You will find it in The
Book of Matthew, Chapter 14, verses 22-33, for wonderful
reading it is indeed!

Finally my friends, WATCH, STAND FAST IN THE FAITH, BE
BRAVE, BE STRONG. LET ALL THAT YOU DO BE DONE
WITH LOVE. Amen. ( 1 CORINTHIANS 16:13-14 )

Daily Bread – I Glimpse of Heaven

Dear Friends, the Bible devotes much less space describing Eternity, than it does to describing that Eternal life is a free gift from God. Most of the brief descriptions of Eternity would be more accurately called hints, since they use ideas and terms based on our present life, to describe what we
cannot fully grasp until we are there ourselves.

Today I want us to look at some of those hints we find in God's Word to us, the Holy Bible!.

[There is a place already prepared for us]
"IN MY FATHER'S HOUSE ARE MANY MANSIONS; IF IT WERE NOT SO I WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU. I GO TO PREPARE A PLACE FOR YOU." (JOHN 14:2)

[We will have new bodies]
"IT IS SOWN A NATURAL BODY, IT IS RAISED A SPIRITUAL BODY. AND WE HAVE BORNE THE IMAGE OF THE MAN OF DUST, WE SHALL BEAR THE IMAGE OF THE HEAVENLY MAN." (1 CORINTHIANS 15:44 & 49)

[ We will be like Jesus Christ ]
"BELOVED, NOW WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD; AND IT HAS NOT YET BEEN REVEALED WHAT WE SHALL BE, BUT WE KNOW THAT WHEN HE IS REVEALED, WE SHALL BE LIKE HIM, FOR WE SHALL SEE HIM AS HE IS." (1 JOHN 3:2)

[Our Heavenly experience will be Wonderful!]
"BUT AS IT IS WRITTEN: 'EYE HAS NOT SEEN, NOR EAR HEARD, NOR ENTERED INTO THE HEART OF MAN THE THINGS WHICH GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO
LOVE HIM." (1CORINTHIANS 2:9)

[We will be in a New World]
"NOW I SAW A NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH, FOR THE FIRST HEAVEN AND THE FIRST EARTH HAS PASSED AWAY. ALSO THERE WAS NO MORE SEA."
(REVELATION 21:1)

Daily Bread - Peace In Tribulation

David said; LET MY LIFE BE VALUED MUCH IN THE EYES
OF THE LORD, AND LET HIM DELIVER ME OUT OF ALL
TRIBULATION.
( 1 SAMUEL 26:24 )

Dear Friends,
Just like David when your life becomes filled with
trouble, suffering or woe, and you long for a little peace,
turn to our Savior Jesus Christ. For He said; “THESE THINGS I
HAVE SPOKEN TO YOU, THAT IN ME YOU MAY HAVE
PEACE. IN THE WORLD YOU WILL HAVE TRIBULATION;
BUT BE OF GOOD CHEER, I HAVE OVERCOME THE
WORLD.” ( JOHN 16:33 )

After all, Jesus' never abandons us, leaving us to
struggle all alone! We can always call on Him in even
the most troublesome times, for He is always with us!
For; WHO SHALL SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF CHRIST? SHALL TRIBULATION, OR DISTRESS, OR PERSECUTION, OR FAMINE, OR NAKEDNESS, OR PERIL, OR SWORD? ( ROMANS 8:35 ) The answer is nothing at all!

Also remember that confusion comes from satan and
not from our Heavenly Father, for it is written; FOR GOD IS NOT THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION BUT OF PEACE. ( 1 CORINTHIANS 14:33 )

So, Friends, BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING, BUT IN
EVERYTHING BY PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION, WITH
THANKSGIVING, LET YOUR REQUESTS BE MADE
KNOWN TO GOD; AND THE PEACE OF GOD, WHICH
SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING, WILL GUARD YOUR
HEARTS AND MINDS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS.
AMEN! ( PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7 )

Daily Bread - Let It Go

THE LORD IS FAR FROM THE WICKED, BUT HE HEARS
THE PRAYER OF THE RIGHTEOUS.
( PROVERBS 15:29 )

Dear Friends,
We may pray that God will handle a problem for us, or
to fulfill a dream we have, while never letting it go for Him
to handle. We instead take it back and try to handle it on
our own.

We may then even put all of our trust in another to solve
it for us as well. Now it is written; IT IS BETTER TO TRUST IN
THE LORD THAN TO PUT CONFIDENCE IN MAN.
( PSALM 118:8 )

So, the next time that you ask God to handle something
for you, leave it in God's capable hands, and; REST IN THE LORD,
AND WAIT PATIENTLY FOR HIM. ( PSALM 37:7 )
Do not pull it back again and try to handle it without Him.

Now this is a poem that is good to read before you
pray for something, and I would like to share it with you now.
It is Titled:

Broken Dreams

As children bring
their broken toys
with tears for us to mend,
I brought my broken dreams
to God
because He was my friend!

But then instead
of leaving Him
in peace to work alone,
I hung around
and tried to help
with ways
that were my own.

At last I snatched them back
and cried,
"How can you be so slow?"
"My child," He said
"What could I do?
You never did let it go."

Daily Bread - You Are Never Without God's Love

THAT CHRIST MAY DWELL IN YOUR HEARTS THROUGH FAITH;
THAT YOU BEING ROOTED AND GROUNDED IN LOVE, MAY BE
ABLE TO COMPREHEND WITH ALL SAINTS WHAT IS THE WIDTH
AND LENGTH AND DEPTH AND HEIGHT; AND TO KNOW THE
LOVE OF CHRIST WHICH PASSES KNOWLEDGE; THAT YOU MAY
BE FILLED WITH ALL THE FULNESS OF GOD.
( EPHESIANS 3:17-19 )

Dear Friends,
Our Heavenly Father's love for us is total, and it reaches out to
the entire world! God's love is long for it covers us the length of our lives, and it is high for it reaches to the height of our celebrations. His love for us is deep for it reaches to the depths of despair and discouragement..

God's love for us is always with us through out all of our
experiences in this life. The Apostle Paul wrote, "FOR I AM PERSUADED
THAT NEITHER DEATH NOR LIFE, NOR ANGELS, NOR
PRINCIPALITIES, NOR POWERS, NOR THINGS PRESENT NOR
THINGS TO COME, NOR HEIGHT NOR DEPTH, NOR ANY OTHER
CREATEDTHING, SHALL BE ABLE TO SEPARATE US FROM
THE LOVE OF GOD WHICH IS IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD."
( ROMANS 8:38-39 )

So, Friends, when you are feeling left out or all alone remember
that you are never without God's Love, and that He is right there
with you always! Amen.

Daily Bread - Peace That Surpasses All Understanding

"LET THE PEACE OF CHRIST RULE IN YOUR HEARTS,
SINCE AS MEMBERS OF ONE BODY YOU WERE CALLED
TO PEACE. AND BE THANKFUL."
( COLOSSIANS 3:15 )

Dear Friends,
In this world today it is hard for many to find any peace at
all! Perhaps it was that way for you before you accepted
Jesus Christ. "BUT NOW IN CHRIST JESUS YOU WHO ONCE
WERE FAR AWAY HAVE BEEN BROUGHT NEAR BY THE
BLOOD OF CHRIST. ( EPHESIANS 2:13 )

Therefore, have faith in God knowing that He is in control
of everything and will help His Children through any difficulty.
After all the opposite of faith is worry, and it is written; "DO NOT BE
ANXIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING, BUT IN EVERY SITUATION,
BY PRAYER AND PETITION, WITH THANKSGIVING,
PRESENT YOUR REQUESTS TO GOD. AND THE PEACE
OF GOD, WHICH TRANSCENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING,
WILL GUARD YOUR HEARTS AND YOUR MINDS IN
CHRIST JESUS." ( PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7 )

So, Friends, if you aren't enjoying the Peace of God that
surpasses all understanding right now, remember the words
of our Savior Jesus Christ, "DO NOT LET YOUR HEARTS BE
TROUBLED. YOU BELIEVE IN GOD, BELIEVE ALSO IN
ME." AMEN! ( JOHN 14:1 )

Daily Bread - Memorial Day

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS
ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN
HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING
LIFE.
( JOHN 3:16 )

Dear Friends,
Today we remember and honor all those who lost their life
defending our country, knowing that GOD HIMSELF WILL BE WITH
THEM AND BE THEIR GOD. AND GOD WILL WIPE AWAY
EVERY TEAR FROM THEIR EYES; THERE SHALL BE NO
MORE DEATH, NOR SORROW, NOR CRYING. THERE
SHALL BE NO MORE PAIN, FOR THE FORMER THINGS
HAVE PASSED AWAY. ( REVELATION 21:3-4 )

Therefore, Friends, I would like to share a poem with you.
A poem dedicated to those brave hero's, including all those
innocent victims who lost their life on Sept.11th, for they too
are heroes! Heroes indeed! It is titled:

I'M FREE

Don't grieve for me for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard Him call,
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I found that peace at the close of the day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.

But be not burdened with times of sorrow,
For I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full. I've savored much,
Good friends, good times and loved ones' touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.

Daily Bread - Who Is Sinless?

BLESSED ARE THOSE WHOSE LAWLESS DEEDS ARE
FORGIVEN, AND WHOSE SINS ARE COVERED; BLESSED
IS THE MAN TO WHOM THE LORD SHALL NOT IMPUTE
SIN.
( ROMANS 4:7- 8 )

Dear Friends,
The Apostle Paul once said; "FOR I DO NOT DO THE GOOD I
WANT TO DO, BUT THE EVIL I DO NOT WANT TO DO--THIS
I KEEP ON DOING. WHAT A WRETCHED MAN I AM! WHO
WILL RESCUE ME FROM THIS BODY THAT IS SUBJECT TO
DEATH?" ( ROMANS 7:19 & 24 ) After all, to remain
sinless was a struggle for him, as well as, the rest of the
Apostle's! For sin has always been a struggle for mankind ever
since the days of Adam and Eve!

Therefore, when we slip and sin it is very important to ask our
Heavenly Father to forgive us. For it is written; IF WE CONFESS OUR
SINS, HE IS FAITHFUL AND JUST AND WILL FORGIVE US
OUR SINS AND PURIFY US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.
( 1 JOHN 1:9 ) Thus we become cleansed and forgiven from
our past sins, and that includes all of them!

After all it is written; "COME NOW, AND LET US REASON
TOGETHER," SAYS THE LORD, "THOUGH YOUR SINS ARE
LIKE SCARLET, THEY SHALL BE AS WHITE AS SNOW;
THOUGH THEY ARE RED LIKE CRIMSON, THEY SHALL BE
AS WOOL. ( ISAIAH 1:18 )

So, Friends, just be the very best person that you can be, and
if you slip and sin once in a while, do not think that God doesn't
love you anymore. For no one is perfect, however once there
was One, sinless and blameless, and filled with love, and they
Crucified Him.....
