Last week, three of our young members—Alex, Ezra, and Stephen—attended the in Bowling Green, Ohio. Over several days, they had opportunity to discover ways to lead and serve, worship with thousands of people who all share the same faith in the same Savior, and attend workshops centered on sharing the life-giving gospel of Jesus.

Gracious Lord, on this Independence Day, we thank you for the freedoms we enjoy as a nation. As your Church, we thank you for the ability to publicly worship you and to share the good news of a Savior. As your people, may all we do and say bring you glory and to make known the true and lasting peace and unity that can only be found in Jesus. Amen.

So much of life can leave us feeling exhausted, whether it's keeping up with the responsibilities of a job, managing life at home, or just trying to stay active.

Trying to keep up with our spiritual lives can be exhausting, too, especially if all we're focusing on is what we're doing, when we're doing it, and how often we're trying. All too often we focus on the spiritual work we aim to do, and forget the work God has done and is doing in us. But he doesn't leave us hanging nor wanting. Not now, not ever.

Join us for worship this coming Sunday and hear a message that reminds and reassures us of the rest, peace, and security we have through God's promises in Jesus. ✝
