We are so grateful for the opportunity to partner with the 17th Episcopal District and Bishop Vernon Byrd and Episcopal Supervisor Melinda Contreras-Byrd to sponsor a well that will provide fresh, clean water to a community in need.

Something as simple as clean water can make such a huge difference, and we are thankful that The Matt is able to be a part of making that difference.

We are especially grateful for the generosity of the members of The Matt. Your giving allows us to reach beyond our own walls and be a blessing to others. Because of you, lives are being touched far beyond Philadelphia.

This is ministry. This is service. This is what it means to be the church.

May God continue to bless Bishop and Supervisor Byrd as they lead the 17th Episcopal District.

August’s Highlighted Organization: St. Matthew’s 🤎 St Matthew AME Church

If you’ve been following along this month, you’ve probably seen St. Matthew’s a few times and we’re grateful for it. After partnering with them for the past two years, this month gave us an even closer look at the heart behind their work and the many ways they show up for families in their community.

St. Matthew’s is also the first church to join the IBT & Co. Directory, which makes this addition especially meaningful to us.

For many families raising children with disabilities, finding a place to worship where their entire family feels welcomed, understood, and supported isn’t always easy. Fear of judgment, lack of accommodations, and past experiences can make walking through those doors difficult.

That’s why the intentional steps St. Matthew’s takes toward inclusion matter. From sensory supports to family resources and community outreach, they’re helping create a space where more families can feel like they truly belong.

We’re excited to continue partnering, collaborating, and finding new ways to make sure families of all abilities feel seen, supported, and welcomed in our communities and in our places of worship. 🤎
