On Sunday, we had the honor of spending time with Sis. Shirley Greene, granddaughter of Reverend E. J. Cross, former pastor of Morris Brown AME Church. In January 1953, Rev. Cross led the congregation from the old sanctuary on Ridge Avenue (now a Baptist church) to the sanctuary we worship in today on 25th & Montgomery.

What a profound reminder that we are standing in the prayers and sacrifices of those who came before us. We thank God for a legacy that continues to bear fruit generations later, and for the harvest we are still reaping because somebody planted faithfully before us.

This Memorial Day our story will not be erased! 🖤✊🏽

Morris Brown, y’all got someplace to be FRIDAY at 11:30AM! Yesterday, the 210th Session of the Philadelphia Annual Conference ELECTED our own Reverend Richard Franklin Norris, III to be ordained an itinerant ELDER in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
