Happy Mother’s Day!

What a beautiful day we had celebrating all the wonderful mothers in our lives! Our hearts are so full after a morning of powerful worship, sweet fellowship, delicious food, and a moving message from the Word of God!

A huge thank you to everyone who shared their heart through reflections and testimonies, your stories touched us all. We were also so blessed by our children, whose prayers and support for their moms brought so many smiles. And how about that piano duet? What a special way to use your talents to honor God’s goodness!

Of course, none of this would have happened without the heart and hard work of our Pastor, Captain Ginikachukwu. She tirelessly planned every detail to make sure today was perfect for our mothers. Thank you, Captain Ginikachukwu, and thank you to every single volunteer who stepped up to help.

We are so grateful for this church family. We hope every mother felt seen, loved, and celebrated today!

What a day! Our music and arts program is in full swing, and seeing our young people lean into their talents is such a blessing.

From brass and vocals to percussion (and yes, some very enthusiastic tambourines!), these kids put in the work during our Saturday program and poured their hearts into today’s worship service. A huge shoutout to our youngest musician—our 2-year-old cornet player definitely stole the show!
More than just learning notes, they were reminded of the heart behind the music: making a joyful noise unto the Lord (Psalm 100:1). We wrapped things up with the perfect combo of a pizza fellowship and some high-energy gym time to burn off that extra steam.

So proud of every one of them for using their gifts to minister to us today!

We're overflowing with gratitude to God for the incredible things happening in our corps/church!

Today was a powerful and memorable day as we celebrated some major milestones in our corps family.

Please join us in giving thanks for the enrollment of three new Junior Soldiers and two new Senior Soldiers! It is a beautiful thing to see people publicly commit their lives to Jesus Christ and to the mission of The Salvation Army.

A special congratulations to all of our Local Officers, who renewed their commitment to service. Your faithful leadership is the backbone of our ministry.

For those who may not know, here is a quick guide to what these roles mean in The Salvation Army:

Enrollment: This is a public declaration of faith and commitment to serve God through The Salvation Army. For both Junior and Senior Soldiers, it is the culmination of a preparation course where they study the Army's doctrines and commit to a covenant.

Junior Soldiers: These are young people, aged 7 and up, who have made a decision to follow Jesus. They make a promise to God and are nurtured in their faith through a dedicated program that helps them learn about the Bible and grow as disciples.

Senior Soldiers: These are committed followers of Jesus, aged 14 and over, who have officially signed the Soldier's Covenant. This covenant includes a public pledge to live a life dedicated to God and to participate in the Army's work of sharing the Gospel and serving others.

Local Officers: These are soldiers who take on specific, part-time leadership roles within the church (or "corps"). They are the volunteer leaders who provide vital, day-to-day support to the ministry in areas like youth work, music, and administration.

It is a true blessing to see our church family grow and our members deepen their faith. We are excited to see how God will continue to use each of these individuals to serve our community!
