What an incredible evening we had during our first-ever Family Game & Fun Night! We couldn't think of a better way to send off the summer than by gathering around the table, sharing laughs, playing games, and enjoying some fantastic food together.

Even though the room wasn't packed to the gills, the joy and warmth in that space were absolutely overflowing. Every smile, every shared conversation, and every friendly competition reminded us of just how special our church family truly is. Small groups often make for the deepest connections, and this night was a beautiful testament to that!

If you weren't able to make it out tonight, please know you were missed, but the door is always open!We would love to welcome you into our circle for worship, encouragement, and fellowship this weekend.

God is so good! We are still bursting with joy after our backpack giveaway. It was a beautiful day watching the gym fill up with parents, children, laughter, and a lot of fun games. Getting to sit down and catch up with our neighbors is always the best part of what we do.

An outreach like this takes a massive team effort, and we have some major thank-yous to share:

To every single donor and partner organization who stepped up to buy bags and supplies, you made sure our neighborhood kids have exactly what they need for school. Thank you.

To our incredible volunteers who showed up early, stayed late, and loved on our community so well. We couldn't do this without your hands and feet.

To our Greater Philadelphia leadership and staff at divisional headquarters, thank you for your constant support and backing to make this happen.

And a special shout-out to Captains Archibong, our Corps Officers put an incredible amount of time, late nights, and heart into getting this whole thing off the ground.

We are so grateful for everyone who played a part. Please keep our neighborhood students, parents, and teachers in your prayers as the new school year kicks off!

Week Two is in the books!

Our kids have been so busy these past two weeks. They started their summer break by jumping right into music and art, and they are working so hard. It has been great hearing them practice brass instruments, piano, percussion, and singing, plus seeing all their art projects.

Today was all about celebrating their hard work from this week. We took a break for some fun fellowship with food, video games, and ice cream.

We might be a small group, but God is doing a wonderful thing in the lives of these young people. We are so proud of how much they are learning and growing.We are back at it again next week!

A huge thank you to their parents, everyone volunteering, teaching, and helping out. Please keep these kids in your prayers as we head into week three!

As the dangerous heat wave moves into our area this week, we want you to pay attention to the following information. Your safety is our absolute priority, and we want to make sure everyone stays safe and cool.

If you usually visit our food pantry, please keep these updates in mind:

• Stay home if it is too hot: You do not have to come stand in this dangerous heat if you do not want to.

• Come next week instead: If you decide it is safer to stay home today, you are welcome to come next week instead.

• Water stations are ready: If you do choose to come today, we will have water stations available to help you stay hydrated.

• We are working quickly: Our team is doing everything we can to minimize your time outside.

Please check on your neighbors and share this update with anyone who visits our pantry.

Happy Mother’s Day!

What a beautiful day we had celebrating all the wonderful mothers in our lives! Our hearts are so full after a morning of powerful worship, sweet fellowship, delicious food, and a moving message from the Word of God!

A huge thank you to everyone who shared their heart through reflections and testimonies, your stories touched us all. We were also so blessed by our children, whose prayers and support for their moms brought so many smiles. And how about that piano duet? What a special way to use your talents to honor God’s goodness!

Of course, none of this would have happened without the heart and hard work of our Pastor, Captain Ginikachukwu. She tirelessly planned every detail to make sure today was perfect for our mothers. Thank you, Captain Ginikachukwu, and thank you to every single volunteer who stepped up to help.

We are so grateful for this church family. We hope every mother felt seen, loved, and celebrated today!

What a day! Our music and arts program is in full swing, and seeing our young people lean into their talents is such a blessing.

From brass and vocals to percussion (and yes, some very enthusiastic tambourines!), these kids put in the work during our Saturday program and poured their hearts into today’s worship service. A huge shoutout to our youngest musician—our 2-year-old cornet player definitely stole the show!
More than just learning notes, they were reminded of the heart behind the music: making a joyful noise unto the Lord (Psalm 100:1). We wrapped things up with the perfect combo of a pizza fellowship and some high-energy gym time to burn off that extra steam.

So proud of every one of them for using their gifts to minister to us today!
