What a great Sunday together at Restoration Church! This week in our Proverbs series, we looked at what biblical wisdom looks like in our relationships.

Big truths from Sunday:
• Your relationships shape your direction
• Wisdom listens and seeks godly counsel
• Words have the power to heal or wound
• Humility brings peace in conflict

If you’re looking for a church that teaches the Bible verse by verse and desires to help people know God one verse at a time, we’d love to invite you to join us next Sunday at 10am at Sunset Heights Elementary School.

Also, ladies — our June Dinner Parties are coming up soon! These gatherings are designed to help women connect, build friendships, and grow in community together. We would love for you to join us! Register online!

What a powerful Sunday at Restoration Church! This week in our Proverbs series, we were reminded that true wisdom is found in our relationship with God. We learned to trust God completely, rest in His sovereignty, and receive His discipline humbly.

Wisdom is not ultimately about self-help principles — wisdom is found in knowing God through Jesus Christ. Thankful for all God is doing in our church family as we grow together one verse at a time.

Men — don’t forget about our upcoming fishing trip in June!

Women — our dinner parties are coming soon and are a great opportunity to connect and build community. Be sure to register online to save your spot!

We can’t wait to see you next Sunday!

STEP 1: BELIEVE IT'S ESSENTIAL
If prayer feels optional, it will always be inconsistent. Prayer is like breathing for the soul. Jesus assumed we would pray. Scripture says it’s powerful. So the starting point isn’t discipline—it’s conviction.

Practice:
Remind yourself daily: “Prayer is necessary for my spiritual life.”

STEP 2: CREATE STRUCTURE
Good intentions don’t build habits—structure does.
* A set place to pray
* A scheduled time
* Eliminate distractions (phone, TV, noise)
These turn prayer from something you hope to do into something you actually do.

Practice:
Pick one time (morning or night) and one place—and protect it.

STEP 3: KEEP IT SIMPLE
Many people don’t pray consistently because they don’t know how.
PRAY acronym solves that:
* Praise - Focus on who God is
* Request - Ask God what you need
* Acknowledge - Confess and give thanks.
* Yearn - This is about your heart posture. Desire God himself.
This keeps prayer from feeling repetitive and gives it direction.

Practice:
Use PRAY as your guide every time you sit down to pray.

What if today everything changed?
What if the guilt was gone…
the shame lifted…
and you finally had peace with God?

Not by trying harder, but by turning to Jesus. Repent. Turn from your sin. Place your faith in what He has already done—His death and resurrection. Forgiveness isn’t earned. It’s received.

It’s possible to know the gospel… and still stay silent. But Jesus didn’t rise from the dead so we could keep it to ourselves. He rose so the message would go to the ends of the earth. This week, don’t just believe it—share it.

Grateful for an amazing Easter Sunday together 🤍

We were reminded that the resurrection isn’t just something to believe—it’s something to proclaim.

Still celebrating what God did!

What a great Sunday at Restoration yesterday! 🙌

We continued our journey through the Minor Prophets and opened the book of Nahum together. Nahum reminds us that God is both perfectly just and a refuge for those who trust in Him. While God will bring judgment against evil, He is also good and a stronghold for those who take refuge in Him.

It was encouraging to see people leaning into God’s Word—taking notes, worshiping together, and investing in the next generation through RKids. Sundays like this remind us how powerful it is when the church gathers around Scripture and lifts our voices in worship.

If you’re looking for a church in Peoria, we would love for you to join us this Sunday!

Sunday Recap | Restoration Church

What a great Sunday worshiping together! We sang:
• Behold
• Holy Forever
• His Mercy Is More

Then we opened the book of Micah and asked the question: “Who is like the LORD?”

Micah shows us that no one is like our God.

• No one is like the Lord in His holiness.
• No one is like the Lord in His faithfulness.
• No one is like the Lord in His love.

Who is like the Lord? No one.

What is God like?

Your answer to that question will shape the direction of your life.
If we think God is small, tolerant of sin, or easily managed, we will live however we want.

But when we see God as He truly is—holy, sovereign, and glorious—it produces reverence, humility, and obedience.

As A.W. Tozer said:

“What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.”

So ask yourself today:

Is your view of God shaped by Scripture or by your preferences?
