Baptism is a beautiful picture of the gospel — buried with Christ and raised to walk in newness of life.

At CLC, this is why we exist: helping people Belong to Jesus, Be Known by His church, and Find Purpose on His mission.

Your worth is not measured by how undamaged you are. Your worth is grounded in whose image you bear.

So the question is not, “How much of my life do I have to give God?"

Rather, the question worth exploring is, “Is there any part of my life that does not already bear His mark?"

Mark 12:16-17 And they brought one. And he said to them, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” They said to him, “Caesar's.” Jesus said to them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.”

Today, we gathered to worship Jesus, hear from God’s Word, encourage one another, and be reminded of the hope we have in the gospel.

Now we scatter — into our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and communities — helping people Belong, Be Known, and Find Purpose through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

May we love boldly, serve joyfully, speak truthfully, and represent Jesus faithfully wherever God has placed us this week.

The gathering fuels the scattering.
