We gathered. Now we scatter.

Today, we gathered to worship Jesus, hear from God’s Word, encourage one another, and be reminded of the hope we have in the gospel.

Now we scatter — into our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and communities — helping people Belong, Be Known, and Find Purpose through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

May we love boldly, serve joyfully, speak truthfully, and represent Jesus faithfully wherever God has placed us this week.

The gathering fuels the scattering.

This past Sunday, Pastor Mathew shared that after much prayer and counsel, he will be leaving Community Life Church to serve as Executive Pastor at Valley Life Church. Our sending church!!

We are deeply grateful for Pastor Mathew and his family, and for the faithful way they have loved, led, and served CLC since its beginning!

We rejoice in God’s work through them and in this opportunity to only help make MORE disciples and plant MORE churches just like ours!

Pastor Mathew also shared that Pastor Noah has been recommended to serve as the next Lead Pastor of Community Life Church, pending member approval at our upcoming Members Meeting.

As a church, we enter this season with gratitude, prayer, and confidence in the Lord’s faithfulness. Please pray for Pastor Mathew, Pastor Noah, their families, and for Community Life Church as we continue helping people Belong, Be Known, and Find Purpose through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

THE TABLE OF GRACE | 2 SAMUEL 9

In 2 Samuel 9:1–13, we see one of the clearest pictures of grace in the life of David.

Mephibosheth was forgotten, broken, and living in hiding—yet David sought him out, not to destroy him, but to restore him.

Instead of judgment, he received kindness.
Instead of rejection, he was welcomed to the king’s table.

This powerful story reminds us of the heart of God toward us.

Many of us feel unworthy, overlooked, ashamed, or stuck in the damage of our past… but God’s grace reaches beyond our condition. Just like David extended mercy to Mephibosheth because of a covenant, Jesus extends grace to us because of His love.

This message is a reminder:

* God’s grace pursues broken people
* Your past does not disqualify you
* God can restore what life tried to leave behind
* There is still a seat at the King’s table for you

No matter what you carry or where you’ve been, God has not forgotten you.

Through Jesus, the rejected are welcomed, the broken are restored, and the lost are brought home.

David didn’t make excuses for his sin… he repented.
•••
Too many people want restoration without repentance.
•••
Psalm 51 reminds us that healing begins when we stop justifying our actions and start surrendering our hearts to God.
•••
No more excuses.
No more hiding.
Just repentance, grace, and restoration.

A BROKEN HEART BEFORE GOD | PSALM 51

After David’s failure, sin, and repentance came one of the most powerful prayers in all of Scripture.

In Psalms 51 ESV, David doesn’t hide, make excuses, or run from God—he falls before Him in complete honesty and repentance.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God…”

This chapter is a reminder that God is not looking for perfect people—He’s looking for surrendered hearts.

Psalm 51 teaches us:

* Sin can break us, but God can restore us
* Repentance is not weakness—it’s surrender
* God’s mercy is greater than our failures
* Restoration begins when we come clean before God

David understood that what God truly desired wasn’t religious performance, but a heart that was humble and repentant.

No matter how far you feel from God today, His grace is still available to you. Through Jesus, forgiveness, cleansing, and restoration are possible.

This message is for anyone who needs to be reminded:
You are never too far gone for the mercy of God.

🙏 If this message encouraged you, make sure to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs hope and restoration today.

What happens when you step out of position?

In 2 Samuel 11, we see a pivotal and sobering moment in David’s life. A king known for his heart after God falls into sin—not because he stopped loving God, but because he stopped doing what he was supposed to do.

“In the spring, when kings go off to war… David remained in Jerusalem.”

That one decision led to compromise, temptation, sin, and consequences that would ripple through his life.

This message is a wake-up call for all of us:
Sometimes the greatest battles we face come when we’re idle, distracted, or out of position.

From this story, we’re reminded:

* Being in the wrong place can open the door to the wrong choices

* Small compromises can lead to major consequences

* Sin thrives in secrecy—but healing starts with repentance

But even in failure, there is hope.

Through Jesus, we see that no failure is final. God’s grace is greater than our worst moments, and restoration is always possible when we turn back to Him.

No matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done—God is still calling you back into position.
