James (Brother Of John)
Who is James?
Father is Zebedee. Zebedee was a prominent man in the community.
Mother is Salome. She supported Jesus' ministry.
James and his brother were fishermen just like their father.
James was one of the three in the inner circle closest to Jesus.
James was the first of the twelve to be a martyr.

Are you spiritually growing today?
I want a crown of glory for myself. Jesus gives me suffering.
I want power. Jesus calls me to be a servant.
I want prominence. Jesus calls for me to "go and die."

Big Idea: James didn't stay the same after he was called by Jesus to follow HIM.
He wasn't perfect. but he was growing. Are you seeing growth in your life today??
Are you willing to be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit?

6 Truths From The Life Of Andrew
*Andrew used his gifts in the background, out of the limelight.

*In scripture Andrew always said and did the right thing. No dishonor is ever attached to his
name.
Matthew 5:16

*He was a "come and see" guy. He brought individuals to Jesus, not crowds to Jesus.
2 Corinthians 5:20

*Andrew was a servant leader.
Mark 9:35

*He understood that no gift is insignificant in the hands of Jesus.

*Andrew wanted people to meet Jesus. He wasn't concerned about winning an argument or
getting credit.

Big Idea: We are called to be disciples that make disciples. Andrew set the example of a true Christ follower. A humble servant who wanted others to know Jesus.

LOVE - All people will know we are His disciples by our love for others.

If you are in opposition to God's plan.....REPENT.
