Luke 15:6 (CSB)
6 and coming home, he calls his friends and neighbors together, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, because I have found my lost sheep! ’
Our Savior doesn’t lose His sheep. He keeps track of them and when they go astray, He will search for them and bring them back into the fold.
If you don’t feel the Holy Spirit convicting you of sin in your life, you may want it check your walk with the Holy Savior. Even though we have new hearts created in us when we accepted Christ, we still are dealing with our flesh. We will sin - daily. We should feel convicted of that sin and confess it before God and allow Him to forgive us of it.
That is the beauty of our Father God. His mercies are neaps every morning. He is willing to forgive us of the sin we commit even after we have accepted the gift of salvation.
God forgave David of the sins he committed and even had the writer call David a man after God's heart. Paul tells us of his struggle with sin, but yet he wrote most of the New Testament. Peter failed Christ three times before Christ was crucified, but God still used him to help establish the early church.
God forgave these men of their sin and still used them in mighty ways. Allow God, through the Holy Spirit to convict you of the sin you have in your life and allow Him to continue to make you more Christ-like.
"The King of Love My Shepherd Is" was written by Henry Baker. On his death bed, they could hear him quoting the third verse of this hymn he wrote. I very rarely do this to you, but listen to the third verse and hear this man's heart and how humble and convicted he was even on his death bed.
This is an absolutely gorgeous recording of this hymn. I hope you not only enjoy the music, but the message as well.
