February was great for CCA! This month we learned how to love our neighbors on three different levels:

1. Worldwide - Our very own Pastor Laurie went on a mission trip with Hillsdale Presbyterian Church to Peru, and taught us what it was to step outside your comfort zone! We raised a small portion of money to help the kids in the Peru School learn about Jesus, and got to meet a few of them via FaceTime!

2. In our community - Feb 1st began our annual food drive for our local community. This year we focused on making all encompassing food bags that can be handed out and eaten without any additional supplies. These included: Water bottles, electrolytes, crackers, chicken salad, hand warmers, gum, chapstick, peanut butter, beef and cheese sticks, and a few other goodies. We were able to pack 30 bags, with leftovers to spare! These were dispersed by the kids back into our community along with over 30 handmade valentines sharing the love of Christ!

3. In our school - The students memorized 1 John 4:7-10 and practiced brotherly love for each other with a Valentine’s Party and personal cards for our volunteers. We also participated in three spirit days to have fun and get to know each other more!
