Hello ladies, Mary Alice just noticed that she will be out of town the week of October 7th. Our first meeting will be moved to October 14th. Please mark your calendar for this new date for the start of the Bible Recap group meeting.

On October 10th from 10:00 - 12:30 or possibly 1:00, there will be a Fall Painting Class with the owner of Paintology 101 in the CLC. We MUST have a group of 20 people to attend to be able to have this class at our CLC. If you have been to a painting class, you know it is so much fun. Even if you can’t draw, and I can’t, you will still be able to create a beautiful painting. Trust me!! 😃 The cost is $30 per person. This cost covers the canvas, paint used, table cloths and the time for the instructor. Please check your calendar and make sure if you plan to attend that you have no other conflicts with that date and time. Once we submit the number of attendees to Paintology, there will be NO REFUND of monies EVEN if you DO NOT attend the class. There will be a sign up sheet in the church foyer. If you plan to come, please fill out the sheet. I will start taking up the money on September 9th. All money must be submitted to me, Geyna, by September 23rd. I will have to turn in the money by September 26th so Donna can purchase all the supplies for our class. I will take cash, a check made out to me, Geyna Hurtado, or CASHAPP or Venmo. If you are paying through CASHAPP or VENMO, private message me and I will send you the information that you need to pay by those two means. Come and bring a friend and join in on the fun, laughter and fellowship of painting a beautiful picture that you can display in your home. Attached is the picture we will be painting. No prior painting experience necessary. So looking forward to this fun event!! 🎨💅🖼️🍂🍁

Hello Antioch ladies. As promised I wanted to give you some information on our upcoming study of reading through the Bible in a year. We will have our first meeting on October 7 at 6:30 pm. This is on a Wednesday night and since it is in conjunction with our regular Wednesday night church, daycare is provided. Mary Alice will be facilitating The Bible Recap Study. We will start promptly at 6:30 and we will be complete by the time Bro Kevin finishes his study. We will be using the Study Guide of The Bible Recap by Tara-Leigh Cobble. The Study Guide of the Bible Recap will give you everything that you need for our group. It will tell you on a daily basis which chapters of the Bible to read and then it will ask questions for you to answer about what you just read. You will read your daily Bible reading according to the layout and then we come together as a group to discuss the daily questions and what we gleaned from the chapters we read. There are no wrong answers to any of the questions. The answers are based off your interpretation of what you read. Of course there is The Bible Recap One Year Guide by Tara-Leigh Cobble that you can purchase as well This one year Bible guide just simply has the chapters linked together on a daily basis that you are given to read. You may purchase that as well if you like, but there is not a requirement for this since all of us has a Bible. Again, only The Bible Recap Study Guide is required for this study. You can purchase The Bible Recap Study Guide locally at Bachus Bibles and Books located at 1100 Highway Dr Oxford. Jason Bachus got a shipment in yesterday of The Bible Recap items. You can also order these online from Amazon as well. I am looking forward to reading through the Bible. You don’t have to go to seminary. You don’t need a special Bible. Just start reading the Bible and see what God has to say about Himself in the story He’s telling.

The Women of Grace (WOG) had an amazing morning at Hubbard’s off Main yesterday. There were 27 ladies in attendance. Mickey Bobo presented an awesome devotional which blessed me and touched all the ladies at the event. Thank you so much Mickey, it is appreciated.
Mary Alice Hagan spoke on the upcoming Bible Recap that our ladies will be starting on October 7th. I will be creating a separate post on that topic. Then I talked about our WOG upcoming events September through the end of December. I also talked about the Women of Joy Conference that will be held in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee in April of 2027 which I will create another post with all that information. So stay tuned for these upcoming posts.
It is such a blessing when our ladies get together for a time of sweet fellowship, awesome food, a devotional or whatever event we have planned. It gives us time to come away feeling refreshed and who doesn’t need that break in their busy lives. Looking forward to our next sweet event. Be a blessing to someone this week and in so doing, you will be blessed as well. Love to all. ♥️🙏

Hello Ladies. For the month of August, we will meet at Hubbards Off Main for breakfast on August 22 from 8:30-10:00 am. After we eat, our own Mickey Bobo will deliver our devotional and then I will give some details on what our Women of Grace has planned for the next several months. We will also go over our plans for the upcoming Bible Recap study which will start in October and will be facilitated by Mary Alice Hagan. Please mark your calendar now to attend. We will have great food, exceptional devotional and sweet fellowship. You will not want to miss this event.

What an awesome morning we had yesterday at Western Sizzlin. We had a great group of ladies to attend. The food was good, we had sweet fellowship and a powerful devotional/testimony was given by Rikki Graben. Rikki talked about how God has been so faithful in her life from such a young age. She talked about how God’s protection and grace has covered her from a young, little girl and then through her and Keith’s marriage. She also talked about God’s faithfulness even in her job career. Rikki’s testimony touched my heart and I know all that were in attendance received a blessing as well. Thank you Rikki for sharing and a huge thank you to all the sweet ladies in attendance. God is faithful. ♥️

Reminder: we will meet at Western Sizzlin for breakfast at 8:00 am this Saturday, June 13th. Make plans now to attend. Rikki Graben will be bringing our devotional. I’m excited to see all our ladies and to hear what the Lord has laid on Rikki’s heart. We have a room set aside for our group. At our last meeting in May, Mary Alice Hagan presented to you her plan to facilitate the Bible Recap by Tara Leigh Cobble, starting in October. We will have an update for you concerning this study.
