We had an amazing Potluck Breakfast this past Saturday morning, May 16th. Each breakfast dish brought by the ladies was absolutely delicious. Mary Alice Hagan delivered an awesome devotional entitled “Pray for your Children,” whether they are still at home under your roof or adult children with a family of their own. Mary Alice talked about how she would specifically pray for her boys and how God would answer her prayers. Our children need our prayers; there is nothing more powerful than the prayers prayed by a mother, don’t you agree? On to another topic… let me ask you a question… has anyone ever read the Bible and after the study, closed it and thought “what did I just read?” Well, we are here to help with that. Our big announcement: coming this Fall, 2026, Mary Alice will be facilitating the Bible Recap by Tara Leigh Cobble. The Bible Recap is a 365-day chronological plan designed to help you read, understand, and love the Bible. Bible Recap participants share what they are discovering in their daily readings. We are so excited to bring this to our Women’s ministry at Antioch. Many plans are still in the making, and as we come up with the final outcome, we will have a meeting to share that information with each of you. We will also start advertising the Bible Recap in our church bulletin and in the church foyer. Do be on the lookout. Start praying now for this study. As we closed out our Saturday morning devotional, we all gathered in a circle, holding hands, and prayed for our church, our church leaders, and all the families in our church. What a powerful way to end our morning devotional. Thank you to each lady who attended Saturday, and we are so thankful for our sister church being represented as well by Brandy. God is so good.
