John 4:1-42

We miss 100% of the shots we do not take, and when we don't take them, we miss the joy - but others miss Jesus and life with Him.

Jesus' agenda is always to offer people life.
Everyday Disciples are Joyful Sowers, and Joyful Sowers share Christ's work in our lives by generously serving with our time, talents, and resources for the sake of others.

As a loving friend, we sometimes sacrifice our own desires. Sometimes we have to have a hard conversation. Requires forgiveness and self-sacrifice.

A loving friend isn’t just someone who is there for the easy moments.

Jesus shows us a deeper kind of friendship one that forgives, sacrifices, stays committed, and is willing to have the hard conversations.

So what can that look like this week?
• Have the conversation. Care enough to lovingly say the hard thing when it needs to be said.
• Choose forgiveness. Don’t keep a running list of someone’s mistakes.
• Make room. Give up some time in your schedule to be present for someone who needs you.
• Help in practical ways. Bring the meal. Pick up the kids. Sit with them. Show up.
• Stay committed. Be the kind of friend who is there through the good, the hard, and even the failures.

This week, ask yourself: Am I being the kind of friend I hope to have?

Someone invited them. Who could you invite? 🤍

Sometimes an invitation is all it takes. A text. A conversation. A simple, “Come sit with me.” There’s room for you, and there’s room for the person you’ve been thinking about inviting.

We weren’t meant to follow Jesus alone.

It’s easy to have plenty of people around us while still keeping our relationships on the surface. But Jesus calls us to something deeper: friendships where we truly know one another, love one another, and encourage one another to become more like Him.

This Sunday, we’re talking about the kind of relationships that take time, intention, and a willingness to show up for one another.

As you read, consider: Do I have people in my life who are helping me become more like Jesus, and am I that kind of friend to someone else?

Following Jesus happens one intentional step at a time. What could that look like for us this week?

• Get closer | Make time to read Scripture and listen to what Jesus is saying.
• Pray | Create space to be with Jesus instead of letting the demands of life fill every moment.
• Drop something | Ask yourself what you’re carrying that Jesus may be asking you to surrender.
• Say yes | Pay attention to the next step Jesus is putting in front of you, even if it feels small.

We don’t become like Jesus overnight. But as we intentionally stay close to Him, He changes us.
