Most of these ambitious teachers carried great passion for scripture. They truly believed that their focus was righteous; jealous on God’s behalf and eager to defend a cause they saw as threatened (obedience to God), they frantically opposed any slight change they perceived as laxity and punished with impunity the smallest of perceived infractions. http://wordworkerauthor.com/2024/02/10/whose-righteousness-is-our-passion/

The apostle John begins his account of the life of Jesus by revealing Him to be The Word and asserting His presence throughout time from before the beginning. With that revelation to guide our hindsight, what if we reread what came before and replaced references to the Word with the name of Jesus? What impact could that have on our comprehension of and connection with God's will and promises and love for us?

Today's kids' class lesson. We ran out of time to talk about everything, so I suggested the kids look up the scriptures at home and see what answers they found for our questions.

HiStory, MyStory Children's Bible Class will not stream tomorrow. We will be doing a special activity instead to wrap up Paul's travels. I will post highlights after the fact for those who would like to see how it went.
I would also like to announce that December will be the final month of this series. It has been a wonderful journey together, but we are now finishing up the last few books of the Bible and it is time for new journeys. We shall see what God has planned for us next.
